Atlantic will be promoting its electric water heaters.

Enthused by the response it has got from its participation at previous exhibitions, Atlantic, a French manufacturer of domestic and industrial heating appliances, will be displaying its products, especially the electric water heater range, at this year's Big 5 show at stand number 3C 140.

The response to our stand was very good at previous Big 5 shows. A quality crowd visited us from the Gulf and the neighbouring countries. The show is a good opportunity for us to meet with decision-makers from the region and start business relations with some of them, says H Casanova, Middle East area sales manager of Atlantic.

Atlantic International has been in the business of manufacturing electric water heaters (10 to 3,000 litres), electric heating panels, electric tower dryers and domestic and industrial hot water boilers for more than three decades. The company started operations in 1968 and has grown in size to employ 2,400 people and boasts of an annual turnover of $415 million.

Atlantic plans to confirm and reinforce its presence in the Gulf region and also increase its brand recognition among decision makers during the show. The show also provides a venue to meet up with all its partners within a short time span.

Casanova says that the company has enjoyed good business levels so far. We have a significant market share for our products in the countries where we have a presence. The level of activity is similar to last year's with demand for water heaters expected to start in this season and last until late March next year.

The UAE is a very dynamic market, he says, where it has carved a niche in Dubai and Abu Dhabi where many large new projects are coming up. The UAE accounts for the company's second market in the GCC, after Saudi Arabia.

Atlantic already has a presence in UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Egypt and Lebanon, and intends to be more aggressive in these markets.

The plans also include developing our share in these markets and targeting additional countries where our products have not yet been introduced, he says.
