Dubai-based Zoomlux Technology, which manufactures and markets a range of high-quality engineering products for the construction industry, will be exhibiting its products along with Portlap International in the French Pavilion at the Big 5 show.
The company offers window cleaning systems, automatic doors, gate barriers, building materials and concrete core drilling and cutting services and plans to introduce automatic shutters, garage doors and other building materials sometime next year.
Zoomlux has tied up with leading European manufacturers Gomyl of Spain and Sky Climber of Belgium to manufacture window cleaning systems (cradle).
We can supply different cradle systems including monorails as well as roof-mounted or parapet systems of the Gomyl brand. The products meet highest European standards, says Amr Fawzi, general manager of Zoomlux Technology.
The company offers the Sky Climber modular lightweight suspended access system which is a combination of the Sky Climber lightweight stage and Sky Climber powered rigging hoist. It is a cost-effective complement to the wide range of Sky Climber products, according to Fawzi.
Our window cleaning systems meet consultants' specifications and match the design when it comes to height or specific structures of the building. They can also be custom designed, he says.
The company also represents Portlap International, considered to be the first French manufacturer of automatic doors for pedestrian use. It offers a complete range of automatic doors including sliding, telescopic, full breakout, V-shaped, round sliding, curved sliding, fireproof, hermetic, radiation protection, soundproof and swing doors, all said to be manufactured using an advanced technology that guarantees safety and comfort. Portlap has more than 50,000 operating installations in France and elsewhere.
Zoomlux also represents Matz-Erreka from Spain for a range of gate barriers. These automatic barrier mechanisms are designed to withstand the high flow of traffic associated with large car parks, public centres, hospitals, shopping centres and industrial premises.
The barriers are equipped with an AEP1 control panel and can be operated with Erreka radio systems. The barrier can be installed on either side of the road or pathway. In the event of a power cut, it can be easily operated using a hand crank supplied with it, he says.
Zoomlux also deals with Recron 3s from Reliance Industries Limited. Recron 3s is a fibre reinforcement product, which enables crack-free construction when added to cement. The product prevents micro-shrinkage cracks which develop during curing, reduces water permeability, increases flexibility and reduces rebound loss.
Zoomlux's staff includes a team of qualified engineers and technicians with the necessary skills to execute jobs to high engineering and safety standards.
It has been associated with some of the prestigious projects in the region including Emaar projects (Meadows 1 and 2, Greens, Emirates Hills and Dubai Marina), Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat) projects, Dubai Immigration refurbishment project, and Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Ajman.
The manufacturing unit of Zoomlux Lighting at Al Quoz, Dubai has been involved in the manufacture of a range of fluorescent luminaires, for commercial, industrial and residential use since its establishment in 1997.
Zoomlux has developed an extensive range of tooling to produce a complete range of luminaires so that specific requirements of customers can be quickly met. An on-line quality control system monitors the production process at all stages, and ensures a final product of truly international standards, says executive director Krishna Kumar.
Highly-skilled technicians operating state-of-the-art machinery ensure that high levels of quality are consistently maintained in all manufacturing activities.
The manufacturing process starts with the selection of raw materials, from internationally reputed sources. All raw materials and components are inspected for their adherence to specifications and tolerance before use. Operations at the plant include precision fabrication, chemical cleaning and phosphating, powder coating, assembly, testing and packing, says Kumar.
Zoomlux Lighting's manufacturing capacity is 10,000 to 15,000 pieces per year, which will be doubled by next year when the company acquires new machinery, he adds.
The luminaires are subjected to stringent quality tests and carry the Zoomlux guarantee for performance. Zoomlux products, which are exported to all GCC countries, the Middle East and the markets in Europe, Africa and CIS, meet British standards requirements, and carry the CE and BS quality certification. The company is also working towards ISO 9000 certification, he says.
The company enjoys around 30 to 40 per cent of the UAE market share. The market currently is very good and we are finalising some major projects,'' he adds.
Zoomlux is working in collaboration with major multinationals in the local market in order to increase sales, and it also plans to open a showroom in Rashidya.
Our customer service and aftersales service is second to none. Our trained technicians are able to solve customers' problem at site. Service and quality are the main factors behind our success, he says.
The company's products have been used on many projects in the region.
