Kaleseramik ... quality tiles.

Kaleseramik (Kaleseramik Canakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi) Turkey's largest ceramic manufacturer will present its range of ceramic tiles and exhibit its new products and technologies at stand 8A 431 of the Big 5 show in Dubai.

The company, which produces the trademark tiles of Canakkale Seramik and Kalebodur, is the biggest ceramic tile factory in the world in a single compound and has a production capacity of 62 million  sq m per year. Kale Eksport, the exporting company of the Kale Group, exports to more than 50 countries all over the world, claims a company spokesman.

Kaleseramik, which has 27 plants, produces 27 million sq m of wall tiles, 30 million sq m of floor tiles, and five million sq m of porcelain tiles along with pool tiles, klinkers, decorations and accessories.
In addition to ceramic tiles, Kaleseramik has a joint venture in sanitary ware production with the Spanish company, Roca.

Its sanitary ware brand Kalevit is supported by a plant with the capacity of 750,000 pieces per year. The company claims that it produces approximately 400 new products every year while at the same time regularly producing more than 3,500 kinds of ceramic wall and floor tiles per year. Constant modernisation of the existing lines and opening new plants with state-of-the-art technologies support such continuous innovations each year, the spokesman says.

One such innovation is the KaleStone product Kalebodur launched last year. KaleStone is a revolutionary technical porcelain tile of extremely high quality with the identical look of natural stone. Kalestone is made possible by utilising the patented twinpress technology by Sacmi.

Kaleseramik was formed following the recent merger of two Turkish giants in the ceramics sector Canakkale Seramik Fabrikalari, Turkey's first ceramics tiles producer which was established in 1957, and Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi, the country's first floor tiles producer which was set up in 1972. While Canakkale Seramik became synonymous with quality in wall tiles, Kalebodur became the generic name for the product itself.

Kaleseramik accounts for 33 per cent of Turkey's production of ceramics and has the latest technology at its facility. The company also accounts for 40 per cent of the country's ceramics exports.
Kaleseramik is a supplier of tiles at Arabian Ranches of Emaar Properties in Dubai.
