
Dubai-based Emirates Specialities Company (ESC) has recently entered into agreements with several local and international firms to market its products in the UAE. The company says that the move is in line with its policy of improving product range and services.
ESC has entered into agreements with:
Thermilate/ Insuladd of the UK/US for insulating coatings, which combine and provide thermal insulation, water/weatherproofing and decorative finish in one application,
Imperbit Membrane Industries (IMI) of Jebel Ali for torch-on and self-adhesive waterproofing membranes and ancillary products and
C/S Group of the US for its range of surface protection systems, floor mats, hygienic wall coatings, sun control systems and other specialised products.
ESC has recently introduced electronic product reference guides in the form of CDs to customers, consultants and other specifying authorities in the country.
ECS was founded in 1967 as Specialities Company, and in 1983 the company was re-structured and renamed to Emirates Specialities Company. UAE nationals hold a major stake in the company and it operates under trade licences issued in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
ESC represents a number of leading manufacturers and suppliers of construction products, and has been active in the field of specialised construction materials, architectural products, tools and industrial equipment. The company has also been providing environmental products for all types of engineering projects, be they residential, commercial, industrial, transportation or utilities. The company is also the licensed manufacturer of a number of construction chemicals at its Sharjah facility.
Headquartered at the Al Quoz Industrial Area of Dubai, ESC has a fully staffed office in Abu Dhabi and a sales and manufacturing facility in Sharjah. It currently employs around 100 people, including professionally qualified managers, sales engineers, administrators, accountants and other skilled personnel. It also has a number of regional affiliates in Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Kazakhstan.
ESC also has a long-standing association with Dow Corning, a leading manufacturer of construction sealants designed for use in structural glazing, curtain walling, weather-sealing and sanitary applications. In addition, Dow Corning offers a wide range of fire protection products that maintain the integrity of many fire rated structures.
The association that was forged way back in 1983, is supported by the Dow Corning Technical Service Department which is on hand to answer any customer queries related to product or application, either before or after application.
Dow Corning sealants have been specified and successfully used by leading consultants, architects, contractors and curtain wall manufacturers in projects in the UAE such as Burj Al Arab, Dusit Hotel, Emirates Towers, Conference Palace Hotel, Dubai Marina, Mankhool Towers, Dubai Bank headquarters, The Gate Building, Etisalat headquarters buildings, Madinat Jumeirah Hotel, The Tower, Fairmont Hotel, BurJuman Shopping Mall, Deira City Centre and many others.
