The new SD series of pavers offers cutting-edge technology.

Dynapac recently unveiled its new SD and XD series of pavers, which are said to combine cutting-edge technology with intuitive operation and a clear focus on operator comfort.

A highlight of the new paver series is the ergonomic seating position and a freed-up field of view. They allow the operators to position themselves optimally, providing a maximum view of the entire construction site, according to Sönke Demuth, Head of Global Product Management Paving at Dynapac, which is part of the French Fayat Group.

“The XD series takes it a step further: all controls are ergonomically integrated into the driver’s seat, ensuring maximum comfort and enhanced forward visibility. Additionally, the new machine is equipped with the proprietary “LevelControl” sensor system, enabling precise control and optimised levelling,” he says.

Germany-headquartered Dynapac is a leading supplier of high-tech soil and asphalt rollers, light equipment, and pavers

“Dynapac has long been renowned for its highly stable screeds. The new generation lives up to this reputation, delivering a robust system that ensures perfect paving results at any width, even with large machines and without additional support,” he adds.

With the bi-directional open interface technology, operators have unrestricted access to machine data, all of which can be easily retrieved and documented, enabling precise analysis and traceability.

Dynapac’s new Pave OS operating system has revolutionised machine operation, placing a strong emphasis on customisation. A large touchscreen console with a modern design, intuitive layout, and the ability to tailor functions to specific needs ensures maximum efficiency. Thanks to the split-screen feature, multitasking is now easier than ever. The consistent control logic – on each user interaction point – provides a seamless user experience. In addition to widgets, quick links and machine functions can be freely assigned according to the operator’s personal preferences right at the home screen, he points out.

A key focus is on environmental sustainability. The updated “VarioSpeed” feature reduces fuel consumption by continuously monitoring engine performance and automatically lowering the RPMs to the lowest possible level, without jeopardising the machine performance. This increases the machine’s efficiency and helps reduce the fuel consumption down to six litres per hour. The SD and XD series also excel with even greater serviceability and easier maintenance.

“Whether for large infrastructure projects or smaller construction tasks, the SD and XD series are designed to make your work easier, more efficient, and more sustainable. Both models are available as wheel and track pavers, with capacities ranging from 700 to 1,100 tons per hour,” he concludes.
