Saunatec ... Finnish giant.
Making its debut at the Big 5, the Dubai office of Madi International Group will promote saunas, heaters and steam generators as well as other products at stand B103.
The trading company, dealing in the supply of cosmetics (salon supplies), equipment and sauna and steam room equipment, will focus on generating business in the UAE market and also work on expanding its activities to the other markets in the region, says administrative manager Imad Hamdoun.
The company, which was started in 1998 at Dubai, has set up an office at Kuwait and has a turnover of $4 million and has a complete spa division, which undertakes turnkey projects for spa and beauty installations. The business in the current year has been good and we will further the expansion of the company's interests in the neighbouring markets. The company has also involved itself in the construction and setting up of saunas and spas in the Middle East region.
Madi is the regional distributor for sauna and steam products of the Saunatec Group of Finland, considered to be the world's largest manufacturer in the sauna and steam bath business. The Helo range of products from Saunatec draws heavily from the Finnish way of enjoying saunas in a soft and gentle atmosphere, at a temperature of 80 deg C and adjusting the humidity by sprinkling water on the heated rocks.
Saunatec says that the Helo Excellent range of saunas is constructed from pure natural wood, brought from the forests of Finland. The company claims that its innovative and elegant heaters are the best in terms of design and performance. Saunatec also has digital controllers, which can be programmed for the parameters of heating time and temperature at the touch of a button.
