French company Ariadis, present in the Gulf since 1994, as been specialising in developing and selling modular software for the management of cut and bent rebar factories as well as precast factories.

The software, known as Armaor, allows the detailing of construction drawings thereby facilitating optimum cutting from the raw material, claims the company.
Ariadis will exhibit its software at the Big 5 show, to be held in Dubai during November 29 and December 3.
Armaor is a complete solution for integrated reinforcement production. Modular and evolutionary, it has been equipping steel reinforcement's professionals for10 years.

The software manages functions such as: detailing, production with cutting optimisation, downloading to the machine, delivery, invoicing and stock management. The comfortable graphical interface of Armaor software is extremely user- friendly and easy to learn. This simplicity has made the software one of the most efficient and effective tools in the rebar processing market and reduced the volume of scrap created, says a spokesman for the company.

He continues: ''Armaor has now become a standard solution in rebar management and is now used by more than 100 personnel at 80 workstations in the Gulf.''
The company claims that it can personalise its offer, develop its range and therefore lead by a length on the competition.

Now, we are able to offer flexible solutions that meet the specific needs of the rebar factories (from 150 to 8,500 tonnes a month),'' the spokesman says.
''So far, we have been extending our activity from Hong Kong to Brazil as well as France, Italy and Spain and we now plan to further develop our presence in the Gulf, he adds.

Armaor is fully compatible with SteelPac, a software that enables the creation and the transfer of electronic bar bending schedules between all members of the reinforcement supply chain.
''By using both of these tools, companies can ensure shorter ordering and supply times can be achieved, thereby achieving better profitability,'' he says.
