UPRIGHT powered access and Instant Zipup aluminium scaffold systems are among the range of products that Al Laith Scaffolding will be displaying at The Big 5 PMV this month.
As the largest contract scaffold service provider in Dubai, the company will also use the show to promote the HEK mast climber as well as its range of services which include contract scaffolding, plant hire and event promotion.
The company, which has been an exhibitor at previous Big 5 shows, is hoping to attract a larger number of leading industrial players to its stand this year.
Al Laith Scaffolding (ALS) was established in the UAE in 1995. From its inception as a contract scaffolding service provider for construction and access solutions, the company has enjoyed swift but controlled growth, the company says. Today, ALS is the largest contract scaffold service provider in Dubai and now claims to be the largest mast climbing platform rental company in the region.
Commenting on the company’s performance over the past year, division director Tim Richards, says: “ALS’ business levels have been on par with last year’s mostly due to initiatives that we have taken at diversification. Local business levels are good.”
Over the past year, ALS has taken on the agency for truck-mounted boom lift Oil and Steel from Italy, which the company is eager to introduce to the Gulf market.
Richards says the company’s future plans include focusing on expanding its operations in Abu Dhabi as well as on a “careful expansion” of its powered access fleet.
The company will also be keenly eyeing specialist access projects such as power stations and aircraft maintenance access.
“Al Laith Scaffolding’s ability to change, adapt and adopt is vital for survival,” says Richards. “We hope to see a levelling of the market and a realistic project base for the next two years. It is those with the best practices and experience that will survive and prosper in the long term.”
The company is currently engaged in a number of projects in the UAE including Al Raha Beach, Al Zeina, Yas island, Dubai Airport Terminal Three extension, Emirates Aluminium (Emal) project, Mirdif city centre and the Duba Metro system.
ALS will be present at Stand B14.
