AT The Big 5, Kirby Building Systems intends to promote its pre-engineered steel building (PEB) products, and especially the new designs it offers in curved beams and structural steel, to the GCC market.

Kirby Building Systems, a subsidiary of Alghanim Industries, is a leading manufacturer of custom-engineered, high-quality, metal building systems for commercial, industrial, institutional, recreational and other specialty applications such as airport hangars and complex buildings.
Its participation is aimed at catering to all industries it is involved in, most of which are showing signs of increased activity, according to Praveen Tandon, vice-president. “At The Big 5, we will highlight the new features of our products, the latest designs and the safety codes governing them,” he says.
 With the growing demand for Kirby products, the company has improved its performance in this market, and is supporting its customers in all possible ways.
Kirby relies on its manufacturing capabilities and state-of-the-art facilities to execute this strategy.
At this year’s show, Kirby and Kimmco, another subsidiary of Alghanim Industries, will be jointly present at the pavilion. The design of the pavilion will itself demonstrate the versatility of Kirby’s building solutions by showcasing steel structures along with insulation, a combination present in any standard steel building, according to Alaeddin Jarrar, director – engineering and sales support.
“Kirby’s participation in last year’s Big 5 proved successful,” says Ashish Gurnani, the company’s MEA (Middle East area) marketing manager.
The ISO 9001-certified company has its head office in the Mina Abdullah Industrial Area of Kuwait with its production facilities situated in Kuwait, Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, Hyderabad and Haridwar in India and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.
These manufacturing facilities, which have a total capacity of 425,000 tonnes per annum, produce hundreds of custom-made steel buildings each year.
Kirby’s GCC sales offices are located in Kuwait, the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah), Saudi Arabia (Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah), Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.
Outside the GCC, the company has offices in Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Syria, Yemen, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. In South East Asia, Kirby’s offices are located in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Danang, Singapore and Malaysia.
