Installux Gulf, the Middle East arm of France-based Installux Group, is strengthening its regional footprint with a new logistics hub in Bahrain and a focus on innovative, high-performance aluminium systems designed for the unique climate and architectural demands of the region.

The company, which has been operating in the Gulf for nearly three decades, traces its origins to France, where the Installux Group was founded in 1923. Over the past century, Installux has built its reputation not only as a supplier of aluminium systems but as a vertically integrated industrial group with full control over its value chain.

“This integration ensures that every profile and accessory meets the highest standards of quality and durability, certified under Qualicoat and compliant with Alu+C low-carbon aluminium specifically designed to withstand the GCC’s harsh conditions of high sun intensity and saline exposure,” Bassim Al Saie, the Managing Director and Founder of Installux Gulf, tells Gulf Construction.

The Installux Group includes Installux, specialising in aluminium system design; Tiaso and Mecanalu for office partition systems; and Comey for technical raised flooring. It has two extrusion plants in Spain (IES Extrusion); and state-of-the-art vertical and horizontal coating lines at FAC in France.

REGIONAL PRESENCE

Since its establishment in Bahrain in 1997, Installux Gulf has evolved from a distribution centre into a key technical partner for architects, consultants, and contractors, in line with its mission to deliver faster technical support and project solutions to one of the world’s most dynamic construction markets. Its team of more than 20 professionals provides project-driven expertise, specialising in customised facade and window solutions that combine performance, aesthetics, and compliance with evolving regional standards.

The company’s systems have been featured in prominent projects across the Gulf, including the Conrad Hotel and Four Seasons Residences in Bahrain, Dubai Police headquarters and Kempinski Hotel in Dubai, as well as landmark developments across Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

With supply chain reliability becoming increasingly critical for the GCC construction sector, Installux Gulf has just set up a dedicated warehouse in Bahrain, strengthening its ability to serve major markets such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman.

“The hub is strategically stocked to support both large-scale residential programmes – including projects led by developers like Retal, ROSHN, and Kooheji in Saudi Arabia – who are raising specifications by introducing thermal break and European aluminium systems to differentiate their projects not only in terms of performance but also through unique designs aligned with new architectural criteria,” Al Saie points out.

The Bahrain warehouse also allows Installux Gulf to serve private villa projects, offering the flexibility of small-batch supply without minimum order restrictions. This local stock mitigates global logistics risks and ensures rapid deliveries. With key materials – from profiles to accessories – stocked within driving distance, deliveries can often be completed within a few days.

INNOVATIONS

Installux has invested in modernising its product portfolio to meet evolving architectural trends. The sliding door Galaxie 32TH has been enhanced for better performance and larger openings while minimising the interlock thickness to deliver sleek, minimalist aesthetics. Another important upgrade was adapting the folding door range for compatibility with the latest Comète 70 system, according to Hassan Al Majed, CEO of Installux Gulf.

A notable new product is the Univers 60 curtain-wall facade, designed to accommodate very large panels, providing architects with enhanced design flexibility while meeting stringent specifications.

“The system is particularly well-suited for skylines, malls, towers, and airports, offering transparency and daylight without compromising on safety or structural robustness,” Al Majed explains. “Thanks to the increase in profile depth – from 54 mm (Univers 54) to 60 mm – the system delivers greater load-bearing capacity. Tested under CSTB Protocol 3725 (Phase 8) for seismic resistance, Univers 60 is one of the few systems certified for high-rise projects in seismic zones. It supports panels up to 750 kg, glazing thicknesses up to 46 mm, and achieves thermal values as low as Uf 1.2 W/sq m K  – further enhanced by XPE foam inserts for superior energy efficiency and acoustic comfort.”

Another significant innovation is the Aura 60 sliding door system, part of the minimalist family introduced by Installux Gulf. Designed for the modern villa sector, it accommodates openings of up to 6 m in height, offering expansive glass surfaces with slim frames for maximum natural light and uninterrupted views.

“Aura 60 combines high thermal and acoustic insulation with sleek contemporary aesthetics, increasingly favoured across the GCC. Smart-home ready, it can integrate seamlessly into connected environments and adapt dynamically via sensors or mobile commands, making it an ideal solution for luxury villas and high-end residential projects where design, technology, and comfort converge,” he adds.

SUSTAINABILITY

Installux Gulf reduces the carbon footprint of its systems by combining Alu+C low-carbon aluminium with the regional extrusion of most profiles within the GCC, significantly cutting emissions from long-distance logistics. When paired with Qualicoat-certified coatings and high-performance systems such as Univers 60 and Aura 60, these measures help architects and developers achieve LEED, Estidama, and GSAS targets, while ensuring long-term efficiency, durability, and comfort, Al Majed says.

FUTURE OF GCC ARCHITECTURE

Looking ahead, Installux Gulf is aligning its innovation strategy with the broader transformation of GCC construction markets. The group’s R&D priorities focus on delivering minimalist frames, large glazed openings, and responsive facades that can adapt to climate conditions and integrate with smart-home technologies, reflecting the region’s drive for modernity and comfort.

“The company’s recent contributions to projects like the Bahrain Marina development, large-scale residential programmes in Saudi Arabia, and commercial and hospitality developments across Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait, highlight its growing footprint in the region. These references not only demonstrate the adaptability of Installux systems but also reinforce its ability to support both landmark projects and large-scale housing initiatives over the past 28 years,” Al Saie concludes.

With a legacy spanning 100 years, nearly three decades of direct presence in the Gulf, and a product portfolio continually evolving to meet the demands of modern architecture, Installux Gulf is uniquely positioned to shape the future of façades and windows in the region.  By combining industrial integration, regional logistics, technical expertise, and forward-looking innovation, the company continues to be a trusted partner for architects, developers, and contractors across the GCC.
