The Big 5

Drain brain

Terrain drainage systems ... have been used in the Gulf for the past 50 years.

DRAINAGE systems supplier Terrain will showcase its extensive range of pipes and fittings and associated products when it makes debut at The Big 5 show.

However, the products of this new exhibitor have been used in the Middle East for the past 50 years and feature on many-high-profile projects such as the Burj Al Arab, the tallest hotel building in the world.
“Our presence at the exhibition is sure to meet with plenty of approval from the many visitors who are already familiar with the Terrain name,” says commercial director Robin Appleby.
“Exhibiting at The Big 5 marks a major step forward for us,” says Appleby. “Our long history with this area has shown that our products have been thoroughly tested and proven in the challenging Gulf environment. That has led to them being very well accepted here and we have been fortunate enough to enjoy tremendous loyalty and support from the many consultants, installers and distributors who work in the region on our behalf.
“We are a major supplier to the region and our presence at The Big 5 is intended to underline that fact and remind people of the high level of technical back-up that we are able to provide in support of our products.”
The wide variety of products featured on the Terrain stand will include the company’s unique range of pipes, fittings and associated products for all types of application including above-ground drainage, water supply, ventilation and rainwater attentuation.
Terrain is the market leading range of soil and waste systems for commercial applications available with an extensive range of pipes and fittings in PVC (polyvinyl chloride), HDPE (high-density polyethylene) and polypropylene.
In order to further enhance the single-source commercial product solution, Terrain offers an unrivalled range of product system solutions including underground drainage and a complete range of rainwater systems.
The company is set to open a new office in Dubai, creating a permanent and dedicated presence in the region, in a bid to strengthen its existing relationships even further.
“We will now have a locally-based Terrain team who will be able to provide on-the-ground support to the market,” says Appleby.
He continues: “The Middle East offers tremendous potential for a manufacturer such as ourselves and having a dedicated base here will certainly help us realise that potential. There are many high-profile projects being built in this region, and we can provide everything they need from our extensive range of plastic pipes, fittings and associated products.”
“Whether it’s a retail complex, hotel, apartment, housing, or a commercial project, we can supply a complete and professional solution that covers all their drainage requirements,” he says.
“Our long operation in the Middle East has helped us acquire the local knowledge passed on to us by our loyal customers, helping us create custom-made solutions to suit specific needs of this region,” Appleby adds.
