

ITALY’S Bellino will display at The Big 5 PMV its friction-welded drill pipes and tool joints and subs, which have been manufactured according to API specifications 7 and 7.1.
The first-time participant at the show is a drilling tool manufacturer which intends to take the opportunity to explore the Gulf markets.
Its friction-welded drill pipes are made of carbon steel and meet its customers’ expectations in terms of price/performance ratio, according to the company. They may be manufactured of carbon steel, grade S 135 as required by API 5 D standard and are also available in steel N80 with mechanical properties as per API 5CT standard.
The threaded tool joints can be obtained either from bars or from forged parts.
Bellino reports that business for the company have been steady and at the same levels as last year. To ensure its continued success in the market, the company has been investing in product development, researching new processes and product certification, according to Tina Luciano, a company spokeswoman.
Active for 30 years in the field of precision mechanical processing, and certified ISO 9001:2000 since 1999, Bellino designs, manufactures and assembles valves and equipment for vertical drilling for geological surveys and research and extraction of underground fluid resources such as water, gas and oil. It supplies valves for power and chemical plants in addition to maintenance performance on equipment.
Bellino, which has an annual turnover of $4.5 million, was established in 1986 and is headquartered in Bari-Modugno, Italy. A 35-member team manages its business activities.
