Nuberg has secured a deal for a Chlor-Alkali expansion project in Oman.
India's Nuberg EPC, a global leader in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for the chemical process industry, has been awarded a contract to execute a Chlor-Alkali expansion project with a 120-tonne-per-day (TPD) capacity and a 80-TPD calcium chloride Plant for Al Ghaith Chemical Industries at Sur Industrial City, Oman.
The development marks the second phase of Al Ghaith’s integrated chemical complex in Sur and represents the first-of-its-kind large-scale Chlor-Alkali expansion in Oman.
Being executed on a lump-sum-turnkey basis, the project scope covers design, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning and handover, reflecting Nuberg EPC’s comprehensive in-house capabilities across the EPC value chain.
Project execution is already underway, with completion set for H1 2027, said Nuberg EPC in a statement.
In Phase One, Nuberg EPC successfully delivered a 70 TPD Chlor-Alkali Plant, establishing Al Ghaith’s manufacturing base in Oman.
The current expansion will take the plant’s total capacity to 190 TPD and substantially strengthening Oman’s downstream chemical ecosystem, it stated.
A major player in the Middle East’s chemical sector, Al Ghaith Chemical Industries has operations across Oman, UAE and wider GCC region.
