Kuraray’s Advanced Interlayer Solutions (AIS) Division, the global leader in PVB and ionoplast interlayers, has announced the opening of its new regional headquarters in Dubai.
The move signals a strategic long-term commitment to the Middle East’s highly dynamic architectural construction, engineering, and fabrication sectors, says the Germany-based company.
The decision to anchor regional operations in Dubai is a direct response to the UAE’s robust economic outlook and record-breaking real estate activity. With population growth driving a massive pipeline of residential, commercial, and social infrastructure – including stadiums, healthcare facilities, and mega-retail developments – the need for high-performance glazing solutions has never been more acute, Kuraray adds.

Kamal Niazy, General Manager Kuraray Products Middle East Trading, explains: “Dubai has always been a benchmark for innovation and is seeing rapid growth in the deployment of high-value-adding components in glazing systems and façade structures. Our new office will allow us to more closely collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, developers and specification teams to ensure that glazing becomes a key driver, not just for its structural and aesthetics capabilities, but also for sustainability progress and world-class architectural identity in the region.”
The elevated levels of new construction in the region are being matched by the refurbishment of existing structures, both of which have led to an increase in demand for Kuraray’s Trosifol PVB and SentryGlas ionoplast interlayers. SentryGlas allows architects and engineers to deploy panels that are not only thinner and lighter than monolithic glass but also offer greater all-round performance.

Kuraray solutions have been utilised for landmark projects around the globe.
Trosifol PVB is a versatile range addressing the region’s diverse needs, from solar control to acoustic insulation.
Alberto Alarcon, Global Marketing Communications Leader at AIS, comments: “The Dubai office will serve as a hub for innovation, customer engagement, and design excellence that will strengthen relationships with our valued clients, foster new partnerships, and enhance collaboration with architects and designers. We look forward to building and strengthening lasting connections and contributing to the vibrant architectural and design landscape of the Middle East.”
