A TOTAL of 26 companies will be present at the Brazilian pavilion at The Big 5 and will introduce a number of innovations to the region at the show. The firms represent industries such as stone, ceramics, wood, bathroom fittings and various building products.
“All of the companies that will exhibit at the Brazil pavilion have differentiated, competitive products to offer to the Arab market,” says a spokesman for the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, which is coordinating the country’s participation at the event.
“The Brazilian stands will be packed with unique opportunities. Each year, the Brazilians surprise the visitors with innovative products, sophisticated solutions and competitive prices,” he adds.
Among the companies will be several that are active in the ceramics and sanitary ware and stone sector.
In the ceramic-facing sector, Casagrande is back at The Big 5 bringing its Madeira e legno collection, which emulates the texture of woods such as cherry wood, mahogany and ivory wood. The company is involved in several projects in the Arab world.

Resembling natural stone and with sophisticated tones and a brilliance of its own, the product conveys a feeling of boundless breadth, making the room appear more spacious, says the spokesman.
Meber, which is specialised in high-end sanitary metals, is looking to meet the decorative needs and provide comfort to clients through its differentiated, competitive products.
Also engaged in the bathroom fixtures sector is Metais Poly, which has gained a reputation for its taps, mixers, valves and showers of the highest quality – using devices for reducing water consumption. It is now releasing its Polymatic line, consisting of controlled flow taps.
Ornamental stone company Braminas, which owns quarries for a range of stone, will put the spotlight on its Blue Fantastic, which has already seen considerable interest in the Arab market on account of its beautiful see-through colour. Other exhibitors include door-lock manufacturing company Arouca Fechaduras, which will present new and improved models of locks, hinges, handles, mirrors and knobs at this year’s event. The company has established a reputation for the excellence of its products and for constant innovation over the past 70 years, says the spokesman.
This will be the second time at the fair for brush manufacturing company Atlas, which has a strong presence in the Americas and in Europe. This year, in addition to the traditional options of brushes and rollers of various types, the company will present products for cleaning and painting wooden decks and a range of accessories for special painting.

The Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce has participated in The Big 5 Show since 2003 with the aim of promoting civil construction industry companies and related sectors.
It has been in operation for more than 57 years now with the mission of increasing economic, cultural and tourist exchange between Arabs and Brazilians. Over the years, it has played a key role in developing foreign trade between Brazil and the Arab countries.
“The Brazilian representative of the League of Arab States – an organisation that brings together 22 independent Arabic-speaking countries – the Arab Brazilian Chamber is known for playing a major role in championing the interests of Arab and Brazilian businessmen alongside organisations, governments and companies. The chamber integrates the General Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, and is acknowledged as the sole legitimate representative of the trade interests of the companies affiliated with the League of Arab States,” says the spokesman.
In order to attain its goal of creating opportunities, establishing new trade partnerships and fostering business, the organisation provides a host of basic services – performed by highly-skilled professionals – such as commercial consultation, market surveys, information on public tenders, changes in tax/financial laws, consumption and trade habits, document translation, advertisement, and product labelling and packaging, thus enabling clients to adapt to their target markets.
