IN INNOVATIVE comfort module for hotel rooms, hospital rooms and offices will be making its debut in the region at The Big 5 show this month. To be launched by Swegon of Sweden, the Paragon Hotel Units, as they are known, are compact modules primarily intended for ventilating, cooling and heating in hotel rooms, hospital rooms and offices.
The system uses a patented technique to optimise cooling and heating capacity, while the height of the module is kept to a minimum. The unit boasts the advantages of great comfort, compactness, low noise levels and low maintenance.
The unit’s low height enables space to be maximised and lets in more light, for instance in hotel room entrances. The primary air is distributed from a central air handling unit, which gives a very low noise level in the room.
Paragon has very low service needs, since it neither needs a filter nor its own fan. The system runs dry so there is no need for a drainage system. It is adapted for plug-and-play installation and comes with all the necessary control equipment as standard.
“Along with the Conductor room control system, Paragon is the optimum solution for hotel and office rooms, and offices. The airflow and temperature are adjusted automatically to the room’s current needs by presence and temperature sensors. The device can be manually controlled by using the room thermostat,” says a spokesman for the company.
Swegon is part of the Latour Group, which manufactures and sells products and solutions for ventilation and indoor climate systems. It has 1,000 employees and a turnover of €220 million ($320 million).
