AERODUCT Industries, a Dubai-based manufacturer of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) accessories, will be exhibiting flexible duct connectors, self-adhesive hangers and damper quadrants at The Big 5 show.

Part of the Hira Group of Companies, Aeroduct will soon be moving into a new manufacturing facility located in the  Dubai Investment Park and will be adding a complete array of insulated and uninsulated flexible ducts to its product range.
Duct connectors manufactured by Aeroduct are used to eliminate noise and vibrations generated by fan coil units, air handling units and extract fans. The company provides a choice of coatings on the basic fibreglass fabric, which include vinyl, neoprene, silicon rubber, polyurethane and hypalon.
“A wide range of sizes are manufactured using 24-gauge or 28-gauge sheet metal ensuring a suitable connector for each application,” says Ravi Wadhwani, business manager. “Only Aeroduct has a complete range of fabrics in the insulated range. The range comprises a 25-mm-thick layer of fibreglass insulation sandwiched between two layers of fabric, which prevents condensation between the equipment and the duct connector.”
All Aeroduct fabrics have been tested to meet the requirements of NFPA 701 (formerly UL214), and are rated Class 1 as per ASTM E-84 standards. In addition, neoprene fabric is classified as Class 1, as per BS 476, Part 7 tests; and polyurethane fabric has been rated Class O as per BS 476, Part 6.
“Aeroduct has thus been successful in providing the customers with a local product manufactured to international standards,” he says.
Insulation fasteners are of the self-adhesive and the perforated type and are offered in two base sizes, which are 50 mm and 35 mm. These nails are soft and flexible so that they can be bent or cut after installation. The perforated base pin enables installation with adhesive on surfaces which are not smooth and are porous.
Aeroduct products have been used in prestigious projects such as Dubai Metro, Jebel Ali International Airport, Infinity Tower, Kingdom of Sheeba, and Dubai Lagoon, all in the UAE; and Barwa City and New Doha International Airport, both in Qatar.
