STONETEC will raise the curtains on a one-of-its-kind CNC (computer numerical control) machine at The Big 5 PMV.
The new decorative concrete and stone floors engraving machine, the computer-controlled three-axis CNC, can be transported to any job-site to perform artistic engravings.
The Canada-based company’s president Iuliana Morar says: “The machine is cost-effective, precise, accurate and opens new execution capabilities for the decorative concrete industry.”
Municipal works and public transportation industry will hugely benefit from the machine as it allows the creation of ground tactile indicators for visually impaired people on any desired site like metro and train stations, bus stops, staircases and shopping malls.
“The mobility feature allows the machine to work on the actual pavement, cutting labour and material costs while preserving the grounds at heritage sites,” says Morar.
She continues: “We introduced the ground surface tactile engraving project in co-operation with the McGill University in Montreal, Canada, in order to preserve the heritage buildings pavers and allow implementing the new signalisation facilities for people with visual disabilities.”
Stonetec, which is making its maiden appearance at The Big 5, sees the show as a major step forward to expanding its business network with distributors in the Gulf.
“We’re looking forward to establishing business links with concrete floor contractors and city contractors,” says Morar. “We also provide plant automation services, design and implementation and we are interested in partnering with engineering companies already established in the Gulf area.”
According to her, the Gulf is open to advanced techniques and outstanding designs, and hence the company is aiming to tap the huge potential of the regional market.
Design and manufacture of CNC machinery for floor engravings, monument engravings and ground surface tactile indicators engravings top Stonetec’s line of products of services.
Besides this, the company also provides automation services, design and implementation and assistance in decorative concrete and stone floors engraving projects. It also offers floor design services and ground surface tactile indicators including on-site engravings for walkways, malls, stairs, metro stations, bus stops, train stations.
