Raised access floors ... Kingspan products.

KINGSPAN Group will be officially launching its Middle East base at The Big 5. In addition, it will be bringing its insulated roof panels and Microrib architectural wall panels to the region for the first time. The UK-based company will also be promoting a range of insulated door components and cold store solutions.

The group is a leading UK manufacturer of a range of sustainable products for the construction industry. Its principal activities comprise the manufacture of insulated panels, rigid insulation boards, raised access floors, steel frame and timber frame off-site solutions, environmental and renewable fuel and water storage solutions and hot water systems.
“Kingspan’s strategic focus is to pursue a broadening geographic footprint of sustainable building solutions, with market leading positions in regions where energy conservation and creative aesthetics are the priority,” says a company’s spokesman. “In support of this goal, significant internal resources and emphasis have been placed on nurturing a continuous flow of new and leading edge products and solutions to our markets, produced in the most highly-efficient manufacturing environment possible.”
He continues: “Buildings, be they residential, commercial or manufacturing, account for in excess of 40 per cent of carbon emissions globally. Recognising this, Kingspan has, and continues to, innovate and deliver solutions today that will dramatically reduce the need for energy tomorrow, and provide compelling economic payback.
“Becoming the first in the world to develop a zero carbon home, which in itself meets the 2016 standards as outlined in the Code for Sustainable Homes, is the latest example of this innovation. This code envisages much higher insulation standards, rainwater recovery, use of renewables such as solar hot water and power generation, all products currently in the Kingspan suite.”
Some of the group’s products include insulated roof wall and facade panel systems, controlled environment systems, insulations boards for roofs, walls and floors, architectural facade systems, timber frame systems, structural insulated panel systems (SIPs), steel frame systems, structural system, access floor systems, solar thermal systems, solar photovoltaics, environmental solutions, heat pump, solar cooling and hot water storage.
The group was founded in the late 1960s as a small engineering business and was initially involved in the manufacture of steel frame buildings and structural sections. Later, Kingspan began the manufacture of environmental products on a small scale.
Since then, the group has continued to grow through expansion and select acquisitions. Kingspan entered the access floor market through acquisitions in the UK and the US. In more recent years, the group has established a much broader network in Central and Eastern Europe, North America and Australia.
