Bahrain-based Paschal Concrete Forms Company says it continues to make inroads into the regional market with its supply of formwork to major construction projects.

The company, the main Middle East branch and stockist for Paschal Germany, says it has added about 100 successful construction companies from the GCC countries to its customer list since its inception in Bahrain in 1998.

Formwork supplied by the company has helped in ensuring timely completion of a number of commercial projects, hotels, residences and schools in the Middle East, says a spokesman.

"Almoayyed Contracting and Key Construction are the new clients added to Paschal's reference list," says general manager Amir Delghandi.

Almoayyed is using Paschal formwork system for the 5.8 m-high wall of the ground reservoir at the new port and industrial area project in Hidd.

Habib Ali Awachi & Sons has started using the Paschal system for the foundation at Alba Jetty facility upgrade project while Paschal's climbing system will be used for the 10-m-high circular tank of the same project, the company says.

Other major contractors using Paschal systems for projects in different parts of Bahrain incude Al Nasir, Al Ghanah, Bokhowa, Chapo, Cybarco, Dadabhai, GP Zachariades, Kooheji Contractors, Mohammed Jalal, MAY Al Mezeal, Project SA, Skyline, TMC and TCC.

Landmark projects where Paschal formwork was used include the Citibank headquarters, Alba (Aluminium Bahrain), Sail Tower, Taib Bank, Arab Bank and Dana Mall in Bahrain, Oman LNG, Ibra Hospital, and the American School in Oman, Public Authority for Industry headquarters in Kuwait, residential buildings in Dubai, and extension of Dammam hospital in Saudi Arabia.

In Bahrain, Paschal formwork can also be hired by contractors from Abu A'Amer Equipment Hiring Company, says Delghandi.

"Paschal's cost-effective and environment-friendly formwork system is popular among construction companies who are well aware of the advantages of using this modern formwork system," he says.

Paschal also offers a scaffolding system from Nisso International Corporation of Japan.

Nisso International Corporation is part of Nisso Industries Company, one of the leading companies which supplies scaffolding to the Japanese and Asian markets.

Its main customers are shipbuilding and repairing companies, as well as civil construction companies which build bridges, power stations, buildings and facilities for the oil industry, Paschal says.

In 1986, the firm developed a revolutionary scaffolding system called the Nisso 3S Octagon series (ring type).

"This patented Nisso scaffolding system is easy to assemble, absolutely safe and strong. It can be used as access scaffold as well as shoring and support," Delghandi says.

"This Nisso technology is now available to the industry and construction companies through Paschal Concrete Forms Company in Bahrain and the Middle East."
