A leader in integrated solutions for the construction materials industry, Command Alkon Incorporated, will be highlighting its range of hi-tech options at this month's Big 5 show.
The US-based company provides concrete, readymixed and aggregate producers in the Gulf region with batching and dispatching solutions in both the hardware and software markets.
It says it provides a total solution including hardware, software, installation, training, support and consultation - whether it is one application or a complete system.
Command Alkon says its batching controls have been proven reliable, consistent and accurate in over 8,500 plants around the world. "All of our systems are readily available and can be quickly installed. We offer batching controls designed for the simplest dry-batch plant to super high-volume multi-mixer plants," says the company's marketing specialist Shawn Flanagan.
He says Command Alkon batching controls provide the end-user with:
"You spend less time in training and more time in production," he says.
"When it comes to accuracy you achieve the closed tolerance and gain the lowest material cost for a competitive advantage in your market," says Flanagan.
"Our Command series dispatching application, COMMANDconcrete, can be adapted to the centralised or decentralised operations of a ready-mix business," says Flanagan.
"Whether your fleet has several trucks or several hundred trucks, Command Alkon has the best solution to help you improve your fleet efficiency and increase your profits.
"COMMANDconcrete can function on a single PC or can be expanded using the latest communications capabilities to operate on local area networks and wide area networks.
"In addition, COMMANDconcrete can perform as a stand-alone module or can integrate with other modules allowing your growing business to add functionality to the system at its own pace."
He says order entry and ticketing are the foundation of COMMANDconcrete.
"Orders are taken and tickets are generated while data is captured for invoicing and reporting. You can also integrate your
concrete batching system using the COMMANDconcrete's Batching Interface Module," says Flanagan.
"Orders can easily be entered for the current day or in advance for any future date desired. These orders can also be cancelled, reactivated, moved to a different day, or duplicated for any day.
"The Customer-Project-Order Lookup screen is a pop-up window, which assists in locating customers, their projects and their last orders.
"Ticket formats are established during the system set-up to provide flexibility. Once an order has been entered, the system simply reads the order number and truck number to produce a ticket, which can be printed at the plant in seconds.
"Daily activity reports provide valuable information on current day and prior days' order, production and delivery information.
"Once an order has been entered and accepted, the scheduling window automatically pops up to accept a customer's delivery information. The system calculates the number of trucks needed based on learned travel times, unload rates, and other scheduling factors."
Command Alkon is based in Birmingham, Alabama, and has offices in Columbus, Ohio, England, Netherlands and Malaysia.
The company says it offers 24-hour customer service seven days a week and has been a long-term, provider to the construction materials industry for over 25 years.
