ACO International, a division of ACO Technologies based in the UK, is a world leader in the manufacture and supply of corrosion-resistant polymer concrete and stainless steel surface drainage channels and gratings.

These systems can be used in many projects where the removal or containment of surface liquids is necessary.

ACO International has continued, during the last year, to supply its drainage systems to some of the most prestigious projects being built in the region including the Grand Hyatt, Zabeel Palace kitchens, Dubai Marina and Dubai International Airport, all in the UAE.

In Kuwait, orders have been received for the PIFFS project and the Kuwait Petroleum Oil Sector contract.

In Saudi Arabia, ACO International supplied Jizan airport with its CR sub-frame system consisting of two corrosion-resistant polymer concrete frames incorporating a slotted DIN F900 Kn ductile iron grating up to 300 mm wide bolted, providing a solution to the surface of cast in-situ drainage channels that are required to be of deep construction.

A new venture into the Iranian market resulted in the supply of ACO surface drainage systems to a fish market at Boucher Port.

ACO International to date this year has also supplied its drainage systems to projects in Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.

Once again, ACO International will exhibit at the Big 5 in Dubai within the UK pavilion organised by Montgomery Exhibitions in association with the UK Building Center.

Among some of the products being exhibited will be the newly-launched ACO DriveDrain, a system manufactured from recyclable material suitable for use in pedestrian areas, swimming pools, patios and driveways.

ACO International regional director Keith Lambourne states that many of the standard systems will also be exhibited, including the ACO range of stainless steel internal drainage products for use where hygiene and ease of maintenance is essential.

Also displayed will be a new stainless steel pipe system, ACO Pipe, a fast-track alternative to cast iron or uPVC (unplasticised polyvinylchloride) pipe systems available in standard pipe sizes with easy-to-assemble push-on fittings.

"This range of stainless steel socketed pipes and fittings is ideal for above and below-ground drainage applications being manufactured in grade 304 and 316 austenitic stainless steel," says Lambourne. "The system is for use in the transfer of most liquids including soil, waste, process and rainwater drainage."

ACO Pipe is completely compatible with the existing range of ACO Fulbora stainless steel gullies and channels.
