Pipemaker eyes Gulf market

Foshan Rifeng Enterprise Company of China is making its debut at the Big 5 this year, bidding to get a slice of the lucrative Gulf market.

The company says it is one of the biggest manufacturers of polyethylene-aluminium composite pipes in China, with 47 producing lines. It also claims to have 55 per cent share of the Chinese market for the product.

"We are particularly eager to establish business relationships with companies in the plumbing, building materials and/or construction industries," says Sun Jun, export supervisor in the company's overseas marketing department.

The company says its product range includes:

  • PE(X)-AL-PE(X) composite pipes (for cold and hot water and gas distribution): The pipes are resistant to heat, pressure and corrosion and free of toxicity. "Our pipes combine the very best features of both plastic and metal pipes," says Sun Jun.

  • Pipe fittings: Both screw and press types of tee, elbow, straight and manifold.

  • Installation tools: pipe cutters, plastic and metal reamers (for shaping the pipe), plastic sockets, bending springs, pipe benders and clamps (for press fittings).

  • Faucets and valves: Different kinds of sanitary appliances and valves.

    The company's factory has a production capacity of 700,000 m a day, says Sun Jun.
