The Big 5 2002

Key co-ordinator

Montgomery International is coordinating the presence of 33 UK firms at the Big 5 in Dubai.

The companies will be exhibiting as part of the official UK pavilion at the Big 5.

Montgomery says the companies will be taking advantage of its package which includes basic stand construction, use of a large central hub stand and striking graphics which cannot fail to attract attention to the presence of this UK group.

Montgomery International is a new division of the Montgomery Group which has over 100 years of expertise in staging international events. Within this new division is Pavilion Management, which promotes export opportunities to UK companies within the building and construction industry by identifying suitable international markets and specific exhibitions within those markets.

The company says it aims to add strength to international exhibitions by coordinating UK pavilions at premier industry events in partnership with leading trade bodies, associations and Trade Partners UK.

It has joined forces with The Building Center to act as sponsor for the promotion of all its overseas construction industry events.

"Many of Britain's architects, consultants and contractors have been well established in the Gulf for several decades," says Suzanne Ager, project manager at Montgomery International. "However, there are numerous UK companies whose potential to export their products to the region goes unrecognised due in part to a lack of knowledge of what information and assistance is available to them prior to visiting the market."

"This is where Montgomery can provide support. Montgomery can assist UK companies in obtaining government grants, travel, transport, stand design and the use of interpreters within the exhibition arena.''

With the support of Trade Partners UK which award SESA grants (Support for Exhibitions and Seminars Abroad) of up to 60 per cent of a company's stand-related costs, Montgomery International says it ensures that exporters gain the maximum sales opportunities available to them around the world.

The company's portfolio of events includes SaudiBuild 2002 in Riyadh, Budma 2003 in Poland, Batimat 2003 in China, Interbuild Egypt 2003 and the Big 5.

Montgomery says visitors at the Big 5, wishing to develop their UK contacts further should head towards stand 6D311, the pavilion hub stand, around which they will find the following companies: Abesco, AceCad Software, ACO International, Alderburgh, Armstrong Pumps, ATG Access Limited, ATG Airports, Audience Systems, Bartoline Limited, Blind Trade Supplies, Campbell Marson & Company, Chamberlains International, Clearwater Collection, Consort Architectural Hardware, Cordek, Dimensional English Stone, DBS Machinery (Engel Europa), Domus Engineering, EMAP MEL, Flock Development and Research, Frameguard Anchoring Systems, Group C Lighting, Heaton Flooring, JP Ceramics, Morgan Rushworth, Parex Exports, SB Building Equipment, SSAB Dobel Coated Steel, Sutcliffe Croftshaw, TT UK, W Neal Services, Woodkirk Stone, and Yoldings.
