The C-1550+ offers improved transportability.

Mobile crushing and screening equipment maker Finlay has launched its C-1550+ tracked cone crusher, which is claimed to offer increased production and efficiency for the surface ore mining and aggregate industries.

The C-1550+ builds on the company’s existing C-1550 model, featuring an upgraded Terex 1300X cone crusher with a 1,300-mm head diameter. Finlay says that the new crusher, engineered for durability and intelligent design, delivers a 15 per cent increase in tonnage and production due to higher clamp forces and a longer throw, resulting in greater profitability for owners, operators, and contractors.

The company – a brand under the umbrella of Terex Corporation, a global industrial equipment manufacturer of materials processing machinery, waste and recycling solutions – highlights the machine’s improved transportability due to its lighter weight.

Performance enhancements include ultrasonic level sensors that regulate material flow from the hopper to the crushing chamber for consistent and efficient operation. The C-1550+ can also accept an all-in feed, reducing the need for additional screening equipment.

Other features that enhance the high-capacity production capabilities of the C-1550+ include full hydraulic closed side setting (CSS) adjustment with electronic monitoring for precise control, as well as a fuel-efficient direct drive transmission through a wet clutch to maximise fuel efficiency and reduce operating costs. The large hopper/feeder is equipped with an automatic reset hydraulic tramp relief system that protects the chamber and minimises downtime if uncrushable material enters the chamber.

“The C-1550+ combines increased production capacity with features that enable our customers to achieve more with less, all while ensuring safer, more streamlined operations,” says Matt Dickson, Business Line Director for Finlay.
