A UAE pioneer in ventilation equipment Beta Trading Establishment is a success story built over the past 26 years.

Set up as an electrical subcontractor in 1976, Beta diversified into trading. Beta Trading became a full-fledged company with a division manufacturing ventilation accessories in 1989.

Beta Industrial Establishment is today a manufacturer and supplier of high-quality aluminium air terminal devices (grilles and diffusers for central air-conditioning) and exports its products to the GCC, Middle East, Scandinavian and CIS countries.

The company's factory also has its own modern powder coating plant.

Beta Industrial also now deals in variable air volume (VAV) units in technical collaboration with Symo of Austria.

Beta Trading, meanwhile, is a leading supplier of electrical, lighting and ventilation equipment in the UAE. It also distributes Ducab single core wires, Beta Lux fluorescent lighting, Domino downlights, Clipsal conduits and accessories.

The company is the exclusive representative of several major overseas manufacturers including Vortice of Italy for domestic ventilation; Howden Donkin of South Africa and Indolec, Holland, for industrial ventilation; Lidiard & Skelton, UK for smoke ventilation; Beghelli of Italy for emergency lights and Fael Luce, also of Italy, for high bay fittings.

The company says it provides clients with competitively-priced quality products, assistance with product selection and design and prompt after-sales services.

Highlighting one of its major partners, the company says it supplies the entire Vortice range of ventilation, exhaust fans and accessories required for domestic and commercial ventilation purposes.

"Vortice is a world leader in the field of domestic ventilation for over four decades," says Beta Trading general manager Bassam Nazzal.

"Today, Vortice products have become so popular in the UAE that the company's exhaust fans are used as a benchmark for comparing prices and quality.

"Constant research and developments carried out by Vortice has given its products an advantage in the market place."

Vortice also manufactures automatic hand-dryers, hair-dryers, soap dispensers and kitchen cooker hoods.

Beta says all Vortice products carry the CE marking in addition to having IMQ and ISO certification. Vortice exhaust fans are suitable for ambient temperatures of 50 deg C but some models are stable up to 200 deg C, the company says.
