The Big 5 2002

Grohe, a leading manufacturer of sanitary fittings and systems worldwide, turns on the style at the Big 5 every time it participates, showing off its newest faucets and showers among other systems.

"There is no better event in the Middle East to showcase the Grohe advantage than in the Big 5 show," says a company spokesman. "Traditionally, Grohe has been represented at the Big 5 on alternate years. In 2001, it had one of the largest booths at the fair, and the biggest among the sanitary fittings manufacturers. It will next participate in 2003, and will undoubtedly have a spectacular booth."

Germany-based Grohe says it is the world's first single-source supplier of a complete range of sanitary products and systems that cover all aspects of domestic water installation and the economical and ecological utilisation of water, setting the quality and performance standards for the rest of the industry.

"Since its inception in the early part of the 20th century, Grohe has expanded rapidly integrating both horizontally and vertically," the spokesman says. "Today, it is a global multinational giant which is regarded with respect by its industry peers within and outside Germany for its achievements in the sanitary fittings sector."

He continues: "Over the years, Grohe has become known as a trendsetter in terms of technologies and sanitary concepts. This is particularly true in the Middle East, where Grohe has established itself as the premier provider of one-stop solutions for the sanitary sector - ranging from faucets to flushing systems, and more recently into water management solutions for the contract environment."

"At the 2001 Big 5 show, Grohe displayed various new products including the attractive Talia two-handled faucet and the unique Taron shower system, which make a striking addition to any bathroom. In the area of flushing and installation systems, new products introduced over the past year in the region have included the Rapid Pro installation system and the Surf G wall plate, as well as Tectron and Surf infrared urinal electronics. A range of new design lines was also introduced from Groheart, namely Atrio, Tenso and Ectos."

The emphasis, as always, is on the highest technology, quality and design, combined with a tough reliability, according to the spokesman.

"What Grohe has also shown over the years is that it has managed successfully to incorporate into its globally-recognised products the reality of user perceptions about water - shaped as much by the progressive spirit of the age, social prosperity, cultural tastes etc, as by rational motives and technical requirements," he says. "By doing so, it has stayed very much in tune with the changing requirements of the end-user."

"With this approach, it can be expected that a further avalanche of new products from Grohe will be seen at the ISH trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany, in March 2003 - arguably the largest fair worldwide for sanitary fittings," he says. "The ISH has traditionally been the launch pad at which new products are introduced worldwide. So keep an eye out for more innovative surprises from Grohe in 2003."
