

Al Nasser Company, a Riyadh-based supplier for leading brands of indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures, lighting control systems, wiring devices and security systems, is on an expansion drive to cover all the regions of Saudi Arabia and is also exploring new avenues for growth.
“With the recent surge in the oil prices, a number of mega projects are coming up in Saudi Arabia and this trend is expected to continue over the next few years. Al Nasser has achieved a growth of 15 per cent in sales last year and we expect to reach even higher targets this year considering the huge opportunities available in the kingdom,” says Mohammed Al Nasser, project and systems sales manager of the company.
“We are now planning an expansion across Saudi Arabia with the opening of some new showrooms as well as project offices. We have already opened two new showrooms in Madinah and Makkah and have renovated some of our existing showrooms in other cities to give them a more contemporary look and enhance their appeal to our customers," he adds.
Al Nasser supplies a wide range of advanced wiring devices, lighting systems and security systems products from a number of international manufacturers. It is the exclusive agent and partner for Berker wiring devices and EIB systems from Germany as well as the project partner for Philips Luminaires, the leading global lighting giant, and has carried out many prestigious projects in various cities of Saudi Arabia with its lighting fixtures.
Among the most striking projects that Al Nasser carried out last year was a SR7.2 million ($1.92 million) deal for supplying Berker wiring devices to the King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (Kaust) in Jeddah, for which it is now trying to get approval to supply products from Philips. Other major projects was to supply Philips lighting fixtures to the regional head office building for the National Commercial Bank in Riyadh (SR 3.5 million); a SR I million project to supply LED lighting to the Azizia Panda Mall in Riyadh; a SR6 million project for the Othaim malls in Al Ahsa, Qassim, Riyadh Rabwa and Khurais.
Al Nasser also supplied SR3 million worth of security systems also at Othaim Mall.
Established in Riyadh in 1971 as a small business, Al Nasser was converted to a limited company in 1981. The company today has a diversified portfolio, enabling it offer a spectrum of products designed to transform a simple home or office into a high-tech living space - right from dimmers to building management systems and from motion sensors to advanced access control systems. Staffed with around 150 employees, the company now has a chain of 10 showrooms ranging between 200 sq m to 1,500 sq m across the country as well as a 6,000 sq m main warehouse in Riyadh and other regional warehouse, approximately 2,500 sq m each, in the Eastern and the Western regions of Saudi Arabia.

Among the outstanding projects handled by the company in the recent past include the Kingdom Centre (complete wiring devices from Berker); Jeddah Hilton Palace (wiring devices), Hilton Madinah and the Royal Malls in Dammam and Riyadh (entire lighting systems), the Prince Sultan Humanitarian City and the Power Plant 9 – Riyadh, Hilton Hotel, Sheraton Hotel (Royal Apartments) in Madinah, Meridien Hotel in Jeddah, Holiday Inn and Marriott Hotel in Riyadh, Corniche Plaza and Al Khozama Towers in Jeddah and a number of embassies in Riyadh.
