Saudi Arabia-based Mohammed Saad Aldrees Steel Doors and Frames Factory is currently launching a number of new products that are targeted not only at Saudi Arabia but the entire Middle East market.
Already a front-running supplier to the Saudi market, the company is eyeing the Number One position in the doors manufacturing sector.
“Our aim is to increase market awareness about our top-quality product range of building products. We have been supplying to the building construction industry in Saudi Arabia since 1978 and have a proven track record of providing high-quality materials backed by one of the expert technical support available in the Gulf,” says Hasan Taha, sales and marketing manager.
The company has this year been appointed the authorised agent for the US-based Corbin Russwin, a firm headquartered in Connecticut with a long history in manufacturing. It is also one of 12 brands represented by Assa Abloy door security solutions, a North America operating unit of Assa Abloy group, the global specialist in door opening solutions, dedicated to satisfying end-user needs for security, safety and convenience.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Assa Abloy is considered to be the global leader in the locks industry, with more than 150 companies operating in more than 40 countries and over 10 percent of the world market.
“The company’s mission is to provide complete opening solution backed by value-added services, to help people feel more secure in their homes and offices,” says Taha.
The company recently boosted its doors portfolio with the addition of highly sophisticated bullet-resistant doors. The full-flush doors are designed to provide a high level of protection from bullets for applications such as banks, lockers, government buildings, embassies and other high-security buildings. They have interlocked and hairline seams that are welded on the inside vertical edges along the full height of the doors.
“These welds are ground, filled and dressed smooth so that the seams are not visible. The face sheets are totally supported by vertical stiffeners on special armour plates to provide protection from bullets, of .3 to .6-calibre, in accordance with UL752 level 4. This series is supplied complete with a set of frames and hardware. The top and bottom edges of the door are closed by 2 mm steel channels that are flush and welded in place,” explains Taha.
