

Al Muhaidib Technical Supplies (MTS), a leading Saudi-based specialist supplier of bolts, nuts and fixing materials, has witnessed considerable growth both in terms of its structure as well as in business volumes and is looking at expanding even further.
“Being a specialised firm offering a wide range of fixing materials, we have experienced good growth and have opened new outlets over the past year. We are currently supplying fastners and fixings across Saudi Arabia as well as some neighbouring countries,” says Saghir Ahmed Taj, project sales manager of the company. “We see great potential for our business in the coming years due to the rapidly expanding building construction markets of the region, where an increasing larger number of projects are expected to be launched in the coming years.”
“Our company main focus is on quality and competitive pricing, which we are able to provide thanks to our long experience we have had in this field,” he adds.
Commenting on the company’s plans for the year, he says: “In the near future, we intend to concentrate more on oil and gas projects and on building materials.”
MTS has an extensive sales service network that covers all parts of the kingdom and the other GCC countries through its branches and distributors, which has helped it play a part in a number of prestigious projects in the region. The company is a major supplier for many factories and major organisation in Saudi Arabia such as local electricity companies, Hidada, AIC, Al Babtain power and telecommunications, Albabtain Leblanc, ABB, Saudi Lighting, Abahussain, Wescosa and Zamil Steel among others.
Some of the significant projects it has been involved in include the power plants PP9 and PP8 in Riyadh with Al Toukhi as the contractor, MHI’s Al Shgaigh project with Sesco, oil and gas projects with Sedro Baou and the CCC’s Khursaniyah project, among others.
MTS offers a wide range of fasteners and other fixing materials, which comprises more than 20,000 items made of steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminium and plastic. All these high-quality products are manufactured in conformity with international standard requirements including those of Saudi Arabian Standards Organisation (Saso) and the specifications of its own quality control department.
Established in 1975, MTS manufactures and supplies all sizes according to the following international specifications such as DIN, UNI, BSI, ANSI, ASME, SAE, JIS and ISO. In addition, it can also provide custom sizes and ensures on-time delivery schedules to any location inside and outside Saudi Arabia supported by an efficient after-sales service to its customers.
The company has over 12 different branches located mainly in the kingdom, in addition to other new outlets in Dubai. Staffed with around 65 skilled personnel and 245 other employees in its various outlets and warehouses, MTS has a wide distribution network with sales staff and country managers in the neighbouring countries. Its sales network is backed by a fleet of modern vehicles that is readily available to serve customers at their various locations and project sites. The activities of these branches are supported by specially-built warehouses to promptly response to the demands of local and regional market. The main warehouse in Riyadh is spread over 30,000 sq m while its other warehouses are located in Jeddah and Dammam and cover an area of around 2,500 sq m and 5,000 sq m, respectively.
