Afocus on quality and prompt service has ensured its success says Dammam-based Al Ajab Metal Galvanizing Factory, which has just launched a new galvanising plant in the area to support to its valuable clients in and around Jubail and thus save their time and cost.
The move will also help to reduce delivery periods by a huge margin, says a company official.
The new facility, which has been set up in Jubail Support Zone III has a larger bath size offering it a higher capacity to cope with the requirements of expansion projects in Jubail. The company has also recently renovated its existing facilities in Dammam’s Second Industrial City, which were established in 2000 and is now considering increasing the bath size at this plant too to increase productivity and ensure timely delivery of its services.
“As Al Ajab’s main objective to provide quality and prompt services, regardless of the competition in the market, it has been highly successful in maintaining its market position and retaining its customers,” says Waleed Al Ajab, chief executive officer of the company that provides hot dip galvanising services for a wide range of steel applications.
“Due to the increasing activity in the market and the growing awareness of galvanising benefits, the demand for hot dip galvanising products in the industrial sector has rapidly increased in the Middle East and is expected to continue. Prospects for growth in this sector are highly promising and we hope to cash in on this boom over the next two decades,” he adds.
“Hot dipped coating of zinc helps to provide permanent corrosion protection in severe rural and industrial atmospheres. Since galvanised steel is extremely durable and long lasting, it is cost-effective and time-saving as it does not require frequent maintenance when used in a variety of steel applications,” Al Ajab points out.
Al Ajab’s Dammam factory is spread over a 20,000 sq m area while its Jubail plant is spread across 25,000 sq m where production, material mobilisation, loading and off-loading as well as material stacking jobs are all carried out. The corporate offices for both the plants are located in Al Khobar. With a staff strength of 180 workers including 15 management staff, the company focuses on providing high-quality galvanising products.
“Over the years, we have undertaken many projects in Saudi Arabia as well as further afield. In the recent past, we have extended our galvanising services to ongoing projects in Qatar, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Sudan and Pakistan. We are also currently playing a major role in a number of ongoing projects in and around the kingdom,” says M Zafrullah Khan, administration manager of Al Ajab.
Al Ajab has successfully carried out a large number of projects such as the Gulf Farabi project, Aramco’s Haradh power plant, Aramco’s pipe gas plant as well as Kharsaneyah and Hawiyah projects, Kuwait Olefin Company in Kuwait, Ras Laffan RGX project in Qatar, Abu Dhabi power plant and Iran power plant, a few to name.
Some of its ongoing projects include the Saudi Kayan polypropylene project, Sipchem acetylene project and Yansab HDPA project.
“We have been involved in various businesses and have gained experience in a diverse range of industries over the past years and are now looking forward to cash in on the potential of booming industrial markets of the region” concludes Khan.
