These include extruded polystyrene boards, polyurethane (PUR) boards and polyisocyanurate (PIR) boards, all for floor, wall and roof insulation; low, medium and high-density PUR and PIR pipe, duct and vessel insulation; PUR/PIR chemical systems for injection, spray and other applications; CFC/HCFC (chlorofluorocarbon/hydrochlorofluorocarbon)-free Styro-gold polystyrene products with enhanced properties; Styrosap expanded polystyrene boards and pipe insulation; injected shape-moulded polystyrene for insulation and packaging; Styroblock insulated cement blocks with tongue and groove joints; and Hordi-Styrene, a superior alternative for cement hordi blocks used for rib slabs.
Saptex was established in 1980 as a Saudi American joint venture between Saudi Plastic Products Company (Sappco) and Texaco. “Having mastered the technical know how and established itself as the leader in developing, producing and marketing thermal insulation system and materials, Saptex is now 100 per cent owned by Sappco,” says a company spokesman.
“Our huge production capacity and large storage facilities allow us to meet delivery schedules on time at short notice from clients spread across Saudi Arabia. We were among the first companies accredited with the ISO 9002,” he adds.
“Our modern well-equipped laboratory enables us to develop thermal insulating products that exceed customer expectations,” he concludes.
