One of the major projects the Saudi German Aluminium Products Company (Sgapco) has been involved with - the Al Faisaliah Center is set for a soft opening this month.

The Jeddah-based Sgapco is proud of its achievement at Al Faisaliah, a landmark project in Riyadh and a milestone for Saudi Arabia's construction industry, says Eng Ali Bisher Alsyari Kindi, managing director.

The main contractor for the complex is Saudi Binladin Group (SBG) and the sub contractor for curtain-walling was Gotz Middle East. The total value of Sgapco's contract was SR32 million ($8.65 million).

Sgapco, which is part of the Ghassan group, is a pioneer in the field of architectural aluminium and glazing works in the Middle East. It supplies and installs architectural aluminium, skylights, facades, curtain-walls, doors and windows, rolling shutters, partitions, including hardware and accessories.

The company has executed major projects all over Saudi Arabia, including palaces, commercial centres, housing complexes, hotels, hospitals, banks and a multitude of other buildings.

Some of the recent projects by the company include a Saudi Aramco complex in Dammam (contractor - Kettaneh Bros); Samaco project in Jeddah; and the Al Tameer commercial centre project in Riyadh.

The company has a staff strength of 500 and its total annual turnover amounts to SR80 million.
