Big 5 Special

One-stop shop

Bricoleader ... modern kitchen solutions on display.

Leading Spanish manufacturer Bricoleader will arrive at this year’s Big 5 in a bid to promote its image as a one-stop shop for the kitchen furniture sector with the aim of establishing itself in one of the fastest growing markets in the world.

“We will be introducing our complete sets of kitchen furniture, components for kitchen furniture (shutters in PVC, post-forming, lacquered MDF and wood), chrome interior accessories (baskets and racks) and other accessories for kitchen furniture (waste bins amd slow motion drawers) at this year’s show,” says export manager Karolina Kominowska.
“What we intend to promote at the show is more than just a product. We are promoting a new concept: which is a company that can offer everything for kitchen furniture in terms of quality, service or design at competitive prices,” says Kominowska.
“Our wide range of products and solutions for today’s modern kitchens, extend from economic lines to the most exclusive and customised kitchens. With over 400 models of shutters to choose from, in 65 colours each, we truly believe ours is the widest range that can be found anywhere,” she adds.
Commenting on the show and the market, she says: “We have participated in earlier editions of the Big 5 and the response we have received has been positive. Last year, we have clinched a few deals and also entered into new partnership agreements with a few dealers in the markets of the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain. This is one of the reasons why we have continued our participation at the show.
“The fact that the Middle East is one
of the fastest growing markets in terms of construction activity makes it a very important market for us. The GCC market is expected to continue its boom in the construction sector for the next few years. Each of the markets in the region has its unique strengths.”
“Since we have extensive experience in furnishing some of the leading projects in Spain, the fastest growing construction market in Europe, we are trying to use that experience to achieve our targeted growth in the region,” Kominowska points out.
Established in 1983, Bricoleader is headquartered in Luque (Cordoba), and has six factories in Valencia, Muria, Alicante, Granada and Sevilla. The company, which is part of Grupo BC3, has a turnover of €28 million ($38.9 million) and a staff strength of 250.
The company supplies all kitchen furniture elements — carcasses and doors — poly-laminated, postformed, lacquered MDF, laminate and wood; and decorative elements — cornices and plinths. Accessories such as drawers, handles and chrome baskets are offered through another group company, Cobex.
“Developed as a personal initiative, the group now includes several shared companies, says Kominowska. “From its inception, the group’s evolution has been marked by constant growth. In line with its development policy, Grupo BC3 continues to make careful investments that will help it maintain and increase its competitiveness in quality, service and price.
Currently, the company is planning to expand its 70,000 sq m headquarters by adding an additional 8,000 sq m facility by next year. The new plant will be dedicated to Cobex accessories, as well as ready kitchens.
The company has already made successful inroads into its domestic market through supplying the projects market and through an extensive network of distributors including specialised shops and large shopping centres.
“We also intend to increase our sales in Spain and consolidate our position in the export market in countries such as Morocco, Panama, Russia and EU markets (Portugal, France, Germany and Greece). While the company has gone ahead with the expansion of its presence into the Middle East markets and the US markets last year, this year it is planning to make successful inroads into the markets of Mexico and Argentina,” says Kominowska.
The company already has supplied its kitchen systems to a number of projects in Bahrain, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Bricoleader will exhibit at The Big 5 show at Stand 2 B 71.
