US-based Energy International will be returning to the Big 5 with a wide range of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), electrical, industrial automation and other equipment and machinery targeted for the burgeoning construction markets of the Gulf.

As a multi-national company established in 1979, Energy International has its head office in Canton in Massachusetts as well as a number of offices in the Middle East in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah in the UAE, Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Beirut in Lebanon, and newly-established offices in Qatar and Bahrain. Staffed with over 100 employees, the company currently has a turnover of $30 million. At the Big 5 show this year, Energy International intends to promote HVAC electromechanical engineering products from international brands to make further inroads into the region.
“The Big 5 provides an excellent forum to display a range of products such as HVAC, electrical, industrial automation and other equipment and machinery for a variety of construction projects in the region. We will be exhibiting Wolter Germany’s jet and axial fans, Purified Air UK units as well as products from Taco of the US and Uniflair of Italy,” says Ahmed Mohsen, manager of Energy International, Sharjah.
“We are optimistic about making further gains this year as we provide our clients not only with high-quality products but also a full complement of services including engineering at the design stage, quotation, purchasing, assistance in financing, export packing and shipment, follow-up training, maintenance and after-sales service,” he adds.
Energy International also provides the required maintenance, services and engineering solution to trouble shoot problem during start-up, commissioning or normal operation.
The company’s extensive project list includes most of the major developments in the UAE, which have been carried out using products from the diverse brands in its portfolio including Penn Fan (industrial fans), Metalaire (VAVs), Mason (vibration isolators and floating floors), as well as Purified Air, Taco and Uniflair.
Projects with Penn fans include the Kempinski Mall of the Emirates Hotel, Dubai Festival City Zone 8, Burj Dubai Phase III six towers, Knowledge Village at Dubai Internet City and Sky Walk Towers, while Mason floating floorshave been used for Emaar headquarters, Indigo Tower, Madinat Jumeirah Resort Dubai Phase III, Al Nahda Shopping Centre at Sahara Centre in Sharjah, the Church Complex at Jebel Ali and the Chicago Beach Hotel Resort and Development project.
Metalaire VAVs have been instated at Dubai International Airport expansion, Rose Rotana Hotel, Etisalat University Sharjah – College of Engineering, Emirates Banking Institute, Sharjah and the Oil Field Supply Centre Phase III Jafza Dubai, while Purified Air units have been supplied to World Trade Centre Residences – Dubai, DIFC Gate Village, Fairmont Dubai, Sky Walk Towers, Marriott Residence and the New Holiday Inn.
Uniflair products have been installed at Citibank Dubai, CAE Flight Training Centre at Dubai Airport Free Zone and Dubai Internet City Phase 3 whiel Taco untis were supplied to Burj Dubai District Cooling 3,  the Palm Jumeirah, Al Gurg Tower, American Hospital Dubai expansion and The Gardens Residential Complex for the Jebel Ali Port Authority.
“The construction markets in the Gulf are stable compared to other countries across the world. Our business levels have improved over the past year and we hope to continue this upward growth by providing even better services to our clients in the near future,” concludes Mohsen.
