Cyprus-based Cons-truction Fastening Systems (CFS) will be launching two new power tools, besides promoting its new Powder Actuated Tool (PAT) and consumables range at the Big 5 show.
Displayed alongside these products will be its existing range of heavy-duty and lightweight fixings along with new chemical anchors and dispensers.
“The Big 5 in Dubai will provide us the opportunity to promote our new PAT range, chemical resins and power tool range which we anticipate will allow us to enter into the huge market for these product segments, while boosting our overall presence within the Middle East,” says Dany Akkawi, managing director of Construction Fastening Systems, Europe and Middle East.
CFS new ranges will include the PAT300 and consumables, chemical mortars under its chemical fixings portfolio; and the 2-kg SDS Plus hammer drill and 5-kg SDS Max demolition hammer under its power tools line.
“All these new products have been examined by qualified testing centres and the feedback showed that the products were equal in standard to other major brand names,” adds Akkawi.
As of now, CFS has already established a chemical mortar range which includes polyester styrene-free (10:1 ratio); epoxy acrylate styrene-free (10:1 ratio); and vinylester styrene-free (10:1 ratio) resins. The next step to enhancing the range is the introduction of the 380 ml pure epoxy with a 3:1 ratio. Explains Akkawi, “It’s a ‘one shot’ two-part cartridge system based on a rapid solvent-free epoxy resin. Applied in once single action, it can produce a cost-effective, tough chemical-resistant fixing. This system offers higher performance than all other resin fixing systems in the market.”
The launch of the PAT300 – an addition to its PAT range – at the Big 5 show is part of its plans for expansion in the region.
“The PAT 300 can be equipped with either a single fastener guide for use with the nail length through 37 mm or with AM27 fastener magazine for fastening collated nails in lengths of up to 27 mm,” he points out.
Commenting on the many advantages of the PAT300 for the professional user, Akkawi says: “The PAT300 is lightweight, well balanced, has a low recoil for increased user comfort and features regulated power for accurate driving. The tool functions automatically in all senses for greater convenience and a higher fastening rate. With this, we are increasing the efficiency on the job site, making our tool much more dependable.”
CFS has researched the market carefully and modified the PAT range to its needs.
“With the effort of its designers and technical expertise in the manufacturing and production facilities, a truly unique product came into being. CFS is dedicated to designing and creating a product that meets the needs and specifications of the customer. Customisation is the key concept associated with the company,” he says.
Along with the PAT range are the new additions to the power tool family: The 2-kg hammer drill and the 5-kg demolition drill.
Both the 2-kg and 5-kg hammer drills are part of CFS’ ongoing investment to extend its range of product to its customers. These new additions will complement its existing fixings range.
The 2-kg rotary hammer drill has adjustable chiselling angles, along with a power input of 800 W, with an impact force of 3.0 joules and a speed of 5,200 bpm (blows per minute). It also takes SDS Plus drill bits up to and including 26 mm.
The 5-kg demolition hammer has a one-touch bit exchange, with input of 1,050 W with 10.0 Joules. The most important feature is its power-to-rate ratio; this means high impact power and makes it operator friendly, states the company. It also operates with SDS Max points and chisels.
“The performance and reliability of both these tools is equal to major brands. Both the products have new anti-vibration technology included as standard features, as indicated by the UK Test House. Manufactured to the highest European standards, these tools handle and perform as easily as other drills and have the necessary sophistication to appeal to the Middle East market.”
CFS has been steadily growing to be a specialist in construction fastening systems in the Middle East market.
“With a team that has vast experience in the region, CFS has the stage set to capitalise on the regions construction boom. Already new relationships have been formed with new customers in the area, with many more to be struck. However, we are interested in finding strong, reliable partners and building relationships that will benefit both parties on a long-term trading basis. For this, we have devised a business plan that will help us decide who would be the right partners for distribution,” concludes Akkawi.
CFS is located in Hall 2 at E60.
