Flooring solutions specialist Granitex, which is making its maiden appearance at the Big 5 show, is planning to introduce a wide range of its products and services, many of which exclusive to our company, says a spokesman Jacopo Giacomelli for the Italian manufacturer.

“At this year’s show, we intend to introduce our company and promote our wide range of materials to potential customers in the Middle East,” says Giacomelli.
The company, which has supplied its range of flooring solutions to various prestigious projects in the Europe and the US, is currently eyeing the fast-growing markets of the Middle East and hoping to create a lasting impression here.
Most of its products – comprising granite, marble, onyx and other materials – are destined for the export market worldwide.
Commenting on business levels, he says: “This year we hope to generate the same volume of business as during last year.
Established in 1963, Granitex has its head office and a 40,000 sq m manufacturing facility located in Grezzana, in addition to another facility in Affi (Verona).
To further enhance its products and offer a superior range, Granitex this year inaugurated a new automatic resin line with advanced technology and vacum system. With a 75-member-strong staff, the company has scored an impressive turnover of $33 million last year.
Granitex imports its granite from various countries including Saudi Arabia, Africa, Canada, India, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, Brazil, France, Iran as well as Italy.
Granitex produces slabs in thicknesses of 2 or 3 cm, tiles and cut-to-size projects from more than 200 materials that are procured from across the globe. The company also owns and operates several quarries in Brazil, Namibia and Norway. The company’s modern tile production equipment consists of seven multi-disk saws, which produce 430,000 sq ft of strips per month, and three complete tile-polishing lines with a capacity to polish 20,000 sq ft of tiles per day.
