JLG 1230P sets a new benchmark for push-around lifts, offering a working height of 5.28 m.

JLG Industries, a leading global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and telehandlers, has introduced its new 1230P push-around lift, as an addition to its low-level access products.

Designed to provide superior reach, support safety and increase efficiency, the 1230P is the latest innovation in JLG’s growing line of low-level access products.

Designed to provide a productive and cost-effective alternative to traditional ladders and scaffolding, the JLG 1230P sets a new benchmark for push-around lifts. It offers a working height of 5.28 m (17-ft 4-in), has a 200-kg platform capacity and provides 360-degree, hands-free access to overhead work areas, enabling operators to complete tasks at height efficiently and comfortably while minimising fatigue.

Key features of the 1230P include a work platform with a vertical rail system for added protection; auto-lock brakes, which engage upon elevation for improved stability; and easy-lock caster wheels with better swivel for fast positioning.

The unit's compact 71.1 cm x 83.8 cm (28 in x 33 in) footprint ensures it is ideal for operations in constricted areas, says JLG. Its highly manoeuvrable design allows for seamless passage through most standard doorways and enables it to fit effortlessly into freight elevators.

Rated for one operator in the platform, the JLG 1230P has a lightweight design, weighing less than 453.6 kg, and low ground-bearing pressure, making it an ideal option when working on sensitive floors.

Alongside the introduction of the 1230P, JLG has made significant updates across its entire low-level access line, including its 830P and 1030P push-around lifts and non-powered EcoLift 50 and EcoLift 70 models.

JLG has made a series of improvements to its push-around and non-powered lifts, making them even more practical for a variety of applications. These updates reinforce JLG’s commitment to offering alternatives that reduce reliance on ladders while enhancing safety and productivity.

Significant advancements have been integrated to boost safety, efficiency, and user comfort:

• Enhanced ergonomics: New steel platforms ensure easier access, superior grip, and greater durability.

• Optimised platform design: Punched holes in the platform improve visibility, facilitate drainage, and enhance airflow.

• Increased operator protection: Upgraded vertical rails (on all models except the 1030P) provide additional safety for those working at height.

• Superior mobility: Improved casters now offer convenient locking, unlocking, and enhanced manoeuvrability.

• Automatic stability: Auto-lock brakes are now a standard feature on all push-around models, ensuring increased stability during use.

JLG’s expanding family of low-level access products delivers high-performance, indoor equipment solutions tailored to mechanical and electrical trades, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), construction, facility maintenance, retail, healthcare and data centres.

“The introduction of the 1230P model and the latest product enhancements are designed to help operators maximise efficiency and minimise operational risks,” says Bob Begley, Director of Product Management – Low-Level Access, JLG. “With their lightweight designs, compact footprints and advanced safety features, JLG’s low-level access solutions continue to provide a safe, efficient alternative to ladders and scaffolding in facility maintenance, commercial construction and industrial applications.”
