APP manufactures a range of distance tubes for a wide range of applications.

Austria Pipe and Profile (AP and P) Kunststoffverarbeitungs, a leading Austrian manufacturer that is looking forward to playing a major role in the fast-developing markets of the region, is expecting to leave a lasting impression on the thousands of visitors who are expected to arrive at the Big 5 show this year, with its wide range of plastic products for the construction industry.

“The Big 5 offers us a chance to make inroads into the Gulf markets and we intend to present our company in the best possible manner at the show. Our aim is to open up the market for our company to that area and having been impressed by the reports we have heard about the show, we have decided to make our debut the Big 5 2005,” says company spokesman Werner Nagel.
He continues: ““One of our major targets is to expand our area of operations and simultaneously try to expand our production capacities. The other target is to search for and adopt new technologies in the local industry.
“ Hence, we are channeling our efforts in making inroads into the different markets in the Gulf, which will backed by an expansion of production capacity, diversification and establishment of new offices.”
APP, a leading manufacturer of high-quality plastic products (mainly for the building industry), spacer-tubes for formwork, scaffolding accessories, will promote different distance tubes (plugs are separately available) – including waterproofed long ones with lengths of 240, 250, 300, 350, 380, 400, 450, and 500 mm, inclusive of two plugs. In addition, the company will also put on display its range of non-waterproofed short tubes with lengths of 120, 180 and 200 mm with two plugs.
“While we are aware that competition is intense in the region, however, the booming Gulf market is full of opportunities for quality products such as ours,” says Nagel. “There is a big demand of accessories/formwork. We are hopeful of acquiring new business leads and entering into long-standing partnerships with clients at the Big 5 this year and that’s the reason why we have been very keen on a very solid participation at the exhibition, he says.
Established in 2003, in Hochst, Austria, the five-member-strong company has an annual turnover of less than $1 million. The company, which enjoys 80 per cent of the Austrian market share, says that business could be better in the years to come.
“Business last year has been almost similar to the previous year but the company’s reputation has been strengthening. We still have free capacities and we intend to utilise it to full potential by entering newer markets,” concludes Nagel.
APP will be present at Stand No 3, C120.
