John Guest of the UK will be demonstrating the benefits of its Speedfit push-fit plumbing system at the Big 5 show.
"The Speedfit push-fit plumbing system provides the cleanest, most pleasant and cost-effective way of installing hot and cold water services," says company spokesman John Cowling. "And, it also reduces installation time by over 40 per cent, compared to conventional systems."
Elaborating on how Speedfit works, he continues: "The system could not be easier to install. The pipe, having been cut square using pipe cutters, is simply pushed into a fitting.
''A unique locking system made up of stainless steel teeth then grips the pipe whilst an 'O' ring provides a permanent leak-proof seal.
"With over 150 items in the range, Speedfit caters for any possible plumbing situation. The flexibility of the pipe gives it the ability to be threaded through concealed or inaccessible spaces. The system is therefore of particular advantage in confined spaces and it is possible to disconnect and reconfigure without the need for replacement parts.
"Because a safe, secure connection is made without the need for tools or a blowtorch, there is no risk of fire, fumes or other damage to decor and the installation is greatly enhanced by the clean. neat appearance of the pipe and fittings.

Speedfit products are kitemarked to British Standard BS 7291 Parts 1 and 3 and are BBA and WRc approved, he adds.
