Phase Two of the project in Madinat Salman will comprise 432 apartments.
BAHRAIN’S Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has announced the launch of Phase Two of its Advanced Generation Residential Buildings Project in Madinat Salman, which will see the construction of 432 apartments for its citizens.
This comes following the successful completion of the Phase One of the project featuring 1,382 units, reported BNA.
Minister of Housing and Urban Planning Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi said her ministry is implementing housing projects in line with the Government Programme (2023–26), supported by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and directed by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to expand housing options and accelerate delivery.
Al Rumaihi noted that the project incorporates sustainability standards through energy- and water-efficient systems, green materials and Bahraini architectural façades.
Giving a project update, she said work is already under way on Phase Two with 72 per cent of the foundations completed.
Deals have been inked with major regional players – Delmon Gate, Almoayyed Contracting, Naseej and First Bahrain Real Estate Development – for the construction of 137 new residences in Madinat Salman.
Under this, Naseej and Almoayyed Contracting will build 24 homes, while Delmon Gate will set up 69 housing units and First Bahrain 44, said the BNA report.
She said these projects align with her ministry’s strategy to expand the Government Land Development Rights Programme across the kingdom, which has already succeeded through projects such as ‘Suhail’ at Lawzi, ‘Al Naseem’ in Salman City, ‘Al Wadi’ in Buhair and ‘Hawrat’ in Sanad, providing hundreds of homes for beneficiaries.
