The Big 5

Eighth showing

Mohd Ahli Electronic Technology (Inter Techno), a UAE trader of HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) and electro-mechanical products, will be participating at the Big 5 show for the eighth year in succession, as it finds the event an important place to do business.

"We have been participating at the Big 5 for the last seven years," says C M Gidwani, the managing director of Inter Techno.

"In our opinion, it's a great meeting point for people from all over the world and especially other GCC countries, to meet and discuss business," he adds.

The Dubai-based firm, which was established in 1986, markets ventilation and fire protection systems, HVAC components, centralised vacuum cleaning systems and acoustic and vibration damping products, mostly from Europe and American manufacturers.

Among the major names Inter Techno represents are Trade Circle Technical Industries, Falcon Chemicals, AerTesi, General Filter, all of the UAE; Safid of Saudi Arabia; Aldes of France; Gebhardt Ventila-toren, Wilo, and Systemair of Germany; Bry-Air of India; Golfex, Trocellen and Clever of Italy; Precision Paper Coatings of Australia; Siemens and Belimo of Switzerland; Frico of Sweden, SPC, Denco, Howden Buffalo, and Manrose of the UK; and Carnes, Perma-Pipe, Wolverine Joining Technologies, Filtrine, all of the US.

At this year's Big 5 show, Inter Techno will be making its presence felt with a display of new products and the company will also be looking at other GCC markets.

"We will be putting the spotlight on central vacuum systems and active silencers from Aldes of France and close control air-conditioning units from Denco of the UK.

Business for Inter Techno has been good so far this year and the company expects its turnover to increase by 15 per cent over last year's $5 million.

Inter Techno's products have been specified and used on numerous prestigious projects in the UAE and it is now looking at appointing distributors in other GCC states in a bid to expand its markets.
