Almost any AXOR product can be further personalised, customised and adapted via AXOR Signature.

AXOR, the luxury design brand of the Hansgrohe Group, has launched its “AXOR Signature” and “FinishPlus” services, aiming to redefine bathroom individualisation for architects and high-end developers across the globe.

The move signals a shift from functional bathroom design to bespoke living spaces, providing the capacity to modify standard products into unique design objects.

“AXOR is setting new standards in terms of bathroom customisation. This enables architects, interior designers, and discerning customers to realise their creative visions, meet their special requirements, and express their personalities,” says Olivier Sogno, Vice-President AXOR, Hansgrohe SE.

At the core of the offering is AXOR FinishPlus, a suite of up to 12 exclusive metallic finishes ranging from polished gold to brushed black chrome. These surfaces are produced using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) technology at the company’s Center for Excellence in Germany.

The process involves discharging an electric arc in a high vacuum where gases combine with zirconium to create a high-brilliance coating.  Key technical advantages for the Middle East market include:

AXOR FinishPlus offers up to 12 metallic finishes.

AXOR FinishPlus offers up to 12 metallic finishes.

• Enhanced durability: A protective layer up to 0.3 μm thick increases resistance to scratches and harsh cleaning agents.

• Coastal resilience: The PVD surfaces are specifically engineered to withstand high-salinity sea air, a critical factor for Gulf-based beachfront developments.

• Scalability: Services are available for single-piece bespoke commissions or large-scale commercial hospitality projects.

The AXOR Signature service extends customisation further by allowing structural modifications that start where the standard catalogue ends.

“On request, almost any AXOR product can be further personalised, customised and adapted via AXOR Signature. Custom finishes, length changes, engravings and entirely new developments are possible. Nothing stands in the way of applying your own initials to a faucet – the AXOR experts use precise craftsmanship and state-of-the-art technology to express your own personality in the bathroom,” Sogno continues.

Founded in 1993, AXOR has spent over three decades transitioning the bathroom from a “functional wet room” into a primary living space. AXOR leverages the extensive design heritage of its sister brand, hansgrohe, while maintaining a unique philosophy centered on deep collaboration with world-renowned architects, interior designers, and product designers to transform the bathroom into a personalised living space

“An individually designed living space is much more than aesthetics – it reflects attitude, values and lifestyle. Good interior design supports the personality of the resident without pushing itself into the foreground,” says Stephanie Gehringer, Founder Stephanie Gehringer, Studio for Interior Design and Architecture in Munich, Germany.
