Belgian manufacturer of air-conditioning accessories Climatech International, which is making its seventh appearance at the Big 5 show in as many years, will exhibit its time-tested range of equipment at this year’s show.

The range of equipment that will be at the stand will include flexible duct connectors – accessories to prevent the transmission of vibration between air handling units and duct systems; and self-adhesive hangers – stuck-up pins used to fasten the insulation onto ducts (both from Climatech); alongside a range of sheet metal tools from Malco International that allow users to work the sheet metal.
“We have been exhibiting at the Big 5 since 1999 and it has brought us good sales leads not only in the Gulf but also in other parts of the world. In the recent past Dubai, and the Big 5 Show in particular, has transformed into a key networking area where companies can initiate new contacts with clients from across the world. Dubai has, in a short period of time, gained the reputation of being the pearl of the Middle East,” says director Francois Xavier Gohy, Jr.
Elaborating on the two product ranges that will be promoted at the Big 5, he says: “Climatech’s pre-assembled airtight and mechanically-resistant flexible duct connector consists of a strip of treated cloth, attached on both sides to strips of galvanised steel, using a strong mechanical joint. In order to meet the requirements of each kind of installation, Climatech has especially developed a wide range of pre-assembled, ready-to-use duct connectors, which offer a quick, easy, economical and efficient method of assembly.
“Clim self-adhesive hangers comprise of a galvanised steel nail (copper or aluminium alternatives on request) firmly mounted on a galvanised steel base which is backed by a self-adhesive, closed cell polyethylene foam substrate. They are designed to fix insulating materials to smooth surfaces such as air ducts, attenuators, chambers and enclosures. Their use allows a proper quality fixture speedily and without the risk of corrosion. The adhesive foam backing is of the highest quality and the locking Clim fastener clips ensure an outstanding assembly. In order to meet all requirements, Climatech produces a wide range of pins lengths.

Commenting on the company’s business prospects, he says: “Business is steadily growing all over the world and the markets of the Middle East in particular have shown immense potential. We always look into developing new products to cater for our customers’ needs. Already the company’s products have been installed on some of the leading projects in the region.”
The company supplies the entire Gulf region though a network of distributors.
