Leading Belgium-based manufacturer of stainless steel elements for filtration Trislot – which is making its third appearance at the Big 5 show – is looking towards expanding its market in the region following the recent opening of its local office in Ajman.

The company that finds its origin in the Bekaert group (steel wire drawer) became an independent company in 1985 and has grown since to the ranking of being among the leading manufacturers of stainless steel elements for filtration worldwide.
“At the moment we have 93 employees and a turnover of $17 million,” says project manager (architectural projects) Karel Vandenabeele.
Trislot manufactures stainless steel gratings that are used for stairs, covers for air distribution, wall cladding, balustrades, furniture and the lighting sectors. These gratings are composed of parallel triangular profiles that are welded in an automated process perpendicularly on support profiles, explains Vandenabeele.
The company offers a wide range of triangular and support profiles in 304 and 316L stainless steel or other alloys. “Our gratings are produced as flat screens but can be cut, bent and rolled in all possible forms. We can add frames, L-profiles and other accessories for installation and reinforcement,” he continues.
“The success of Trislot is based on a proprietary production technology, a high-tech attractive product that can be uniquely formed according to the requirements of the customer. World famous architects have already used the gratings in their creations. All Trislot products are custom-made and can be designed to fulfil the requirements (frames, self-supporting etc). All manufacturing is done in-house and under the control of Trislot,” he adds.
The company has recently completed supplying its materials and systems to projects spread over the Europe, and the Middle East, some of which include: Grills for air-conditioning outlets for the 'O' de Squisito houseboat at Dubai; gratings around swimming pool for the Hotel Taj, Abu Dhabi; ventilation grilles for the Deutsches Historisches Museum and the Bodemuseum, both in Berlin, Germany; shower gratings for the Hotel Puerta America, Madrid, Spain; and security cover grilles for the airport lounge Amsterdam, Netherlands.
