

Following its successful participation at the Big 5 show last year, Egeplast Turkiye returns to the show looking forward to tap further markets and popularise its products in the region.
“Dubai’s potential as a market for our products and its strategic importance in the regional construction sector has brought us to the Big 5 show once again,” says Ibrahim Mumcuoglu, marketing executive of the Turkish company.
“Last year’s exhibition was very positive for us. The response to our stand was good and there were deals/sales negotiated,” he adds.
Egeplast will showcase its range of plastic – PE (polyethylene), PP (polypropylene) and PVC (polyvinyl chloride) pipes and fittings for infrastructure, building and agricultural purposes at this year’s show.
Some of the leading products offered by Egeplast include:
• PVC waste water pipes and fittings with stable gaskets;
• PVC water supply pipes and fittings with sealing ring and stable gasket (patented);
• Rain gutters and down pipes for building roofs;
• Natural gas pipes;
• PEA aluminum headed pipes and fittings for irrigation;
• ASPVC pipes and fittings for agricultural purposes with energy and water-saving features due to special jointing method which eliminates leakage;
• Pressurized PVC water pipes with a diameter of 1,000 mm; and
• PVC waste water drainage pipes with 1,000 mm diameter.
Established in 1974 at Izmir as the flagship of Mazhar Zorlu Holding industrial group, Egeplast has grown into one of the largest manufacturers of plastic pipes in Europe. At its facilities in Turkey which cover a total production area of 80,000 sq m, a 375-strong workforce is involved in the manufacture and distribution of 100,000 tonnes of plastic products per year that finds use in infrastructure, building and agricultural purposes.
Egeplast has a strong distributing network of 2,000 dealers.

The company exports to some 30 countries worldwide. Currently, it is eyeing the markets of Dubai, Africa and India, Mumcuoglu says.
