

The heat will be on at Byworth Boilers’ stand at the Big 5 as the UK’s independent manufacturer of industrial steam and hot water boilers makes concerted efforts to penetrate the market with its leading product lines during its maiden appearance at the show.
With the support of its new distributor in Dubai, Hotline Trading, Byworth Boilers will provide complete information on its range of steam and hot water boilers to the thousands of visitors who are expected to arrive this year.
“Working with our new agent Hotline Trading gives us the confidence to promote our products in the area as we respect their engineering competence and ability to offer the highest customer service,” says Helen Shepherd, marketing director of the company. “In addition, we believe the quality of our products will be appreciated by discerning engineers in the Gulf.”
Byworth Boilers is the trading name and the brand name for Dennis Baldwin & Sons, which was established in 1968. The company also ready has a number of ongoing projects in the UAE that are due for completion by the year-end with a total project value of around $1 million. These include:
• The Wafi Mall hotel project (with Voltas as MEP contractor), where it is supplying two hot water boilers and related systems. The contract is expected to be completed next month;
• The Intercontinental Hotel project (with Voltas as MEP contractor), where it is supplying two steam boilers and related system with expected completion this month;
• A private hospital in Fujairah private hospital (with FNCT as MEP contractor), involving the supply two steam boilers and its related system with scheduled completion next month; and
• Dalma Towers (Verger-Del-Porte as MEP contractor) which calls for the supply of two steam boilers and ancillary systems for delivery by the end of next month.
The company manufactures a range of top-quality industrial steam boilers with capacities of up to 16,000 kg per hour and up to 300 psi. All boilers are certified by Lloyds and manufactured to European Pressure Equipment Directive and are CE marked, she says, adding that Byworth Boilers is today the largest independent manufacturer of shell steam boilers in the UK
Commenting on some of its systems, she says: “The Yorkshireman range is a traditional three-pass wetback design suitable for arduous workloads, producing good quality steam with excellent efficiency while the MX range is more economically priced for lighter loads and is especially suited to the laundry industry. The company also manufactures hot water boilers up to 10 MW output, and 300 psi working pressure.”
Byworth Boilers also offers ancillaries, which include economisers, hot well tanks, blowdown vessels and water treatment plant.
