ApliCad’s new software ... revolutionary.

Spanish graphic software solutions Aplicaciones De Cad Cam (ApliCad) will be making a grand debut at the Big 5 with an innovative software programme ApliCad Interior, which is described as an integrated solution for designing rooms.

“While showcasing our existing portfolio, we will be introducing the ApliCad Interior, release 4.0, which is a new product for the Gulf markets targeted specifically at showrooms for ceramic tiles and carpets and manufacturers of the floor and wall cladding materials,” says Alberto Castillo, general manager of the company, which is a leading manufacturer of graphic software solutions and base data management. “In fact, ApliCad Interior graphic software for ceramic tile showrooms are popular in the Spanish market,”
This specialised software allows the user to easily lay wall and floor tiles on the computer display, enabling him to visualize how his selected products will actually look in the room. It allows him to fit in components and features such as doors, windows and furniture into the display to see how the tiles complement the surroundings give a complete picture of the room setting.
“ApliCad Interior offers the best compatibility for those who go from 2D to 3D designing, making it possible to export to AutoCad or to ApliCad 3D to be able to show a maximum quality of 3D display,” says a spokesman for the company. The software offers various graphic solutions for interior designing that includes ceramic compositions, multiple laying, dimensioned plans, joint width and colour configuration, multiple ceramic areas, integration with electronic catalogues as well as direct contact with ApliCad 3D.
By using this programme, the user can easily create the interiors through four basic steps that include specifying the room's dimensions and shape, laying of ceramic materials according to plan, making design changes related to the type of tiles, installation, joint dimensions and other aspects to the final touches to “see” how the room will appear in reality when completed.
'New technology is the key to success for those involved in the surfacing industries including ceramic tile, carpet, marble, wood and other surfaces as today’s buyer is keen to have a good insight provided by real images as well as a good price before he decides to make a purchase,” he adds.
Commenting on the company’s performance, Castillo says: “Business has been looking up for us over the last year and we have achieved a 25 per cent growth in sales. Besides, our primary business sector of manufacturing graphic software such as ApliCad Interior Design software, we also offer IT services for the ceramic and stone manufacturers, ApliCad is a value added reseller of Autodesk.”
Autodesk is the world’s leading 2D and 3D software company for the manufacturing, infrastructure, building, media and entertainment, and wireless data services fields. It first revolutionised the software industry with the AutoCad product, which introduced drafting on a PC.
ApliCad is currently on an expansion drive, which is aimed to take the firm right across the globe.
“We have recently opened a new office in the US where there is a lot of demand for graphical software designing for interiors and now have plans to open new markets in the Gulf and Asia next year,” he says.
Commenting on the Big 5 show, Castillo says: “We were encouraged to participate at the Big 5 because of the reputation it enjoys as a quality show. In addition, the Gulf market is very important for us.”
