Sharjah-based specialist manufacturer and supplier Classic Metallic Sheet Factory (CMSF) will be making its debut at the Big 5 show to promote its image as a one-stop shop for a wide range of quality industrial fasteners, engineering steel, hardware and tools products to companies in the Middle East and abroad.

Established in 1992 CMSF is a leading subsidiary of the Classic Group of Companies, which has been growing from strength to strength and has recently acquired a 150,000 sq ft area in Sharjah Emirates Industrial City to expand its manufacturing and storage capacities.
Operating from its 40,000 sq ft factory, CMSF has an extensive product portfolio that includes various types of blind rivets, nut inserts, stud bolts, anchor bolts, fasteners and riveting tools, which are exported to more than 20 countries worldwide.
“Our company’s three divisions dedicated to industrial fasteners manufacturing, steel trading, and hardware and tools trading have a strong market presence in the region with a client portfolio that includes major contracting companies, distributors, retailers and multi-national corporations,” says Shabbir Shaikh, managing director of Classic Group.
The industrial fasteners division manufactures blind/pop rivets in aluminium, steel and stainless steel in open, closed and multi-grip types and stud and anchor bolts which are made per BS-3692 standards in Grade 4.6, 5.6, 8.8 and 10.9. It also supplies rivets nuts and nut inserts in steel, brass and stainless steel. CMSF boasts in-house facilities for cutting, bending, threading and coating of products to speed up delivery of its products.
The hardware and tools division supplies steel masonry, wire and concrete nails, nylon wall plugs, silicone sealants and riveting tools to major contracting companies throughout the UAE. CMSF has manufacturing tie-ups with various companies across the globe such as UK-based IVI Metallics for Classic steel nails, Italy-based Bartolucci for Classic nylon wall plugs and other insulation fixings and US-based Boss for silicone sealants.
As one of the largest stockholders in the UAE for engineering steel materials, CMSF’s steel division specialises in carbon, alloy and stainless steel bars in round, flat, square and hexagonal shapes; wear plates, hydraulic chrome bars, honed tubes and bronze bars. This division is now venturing into mild steel products and materials and has plans to stock these in round, flat and square sections, as well as in the form of plates, angles, channels and de-formed bars.
Founded in Sharjah by Shabbir A Shaikh, the Classic Group comprises three operating companies in the four business sectors of industrial and automotive fasteners, aluminum extrusions, steel trading, and architectural hardware and tools.
Besides CMSF, the group comprises of two other subsidiaries – Classic Extrusions and Classic Fastening Systems.
