Technical Supplies & Services Company (TSSC), a market leader in cold stores and roof and wall insulated composite panels, has announced the launch of its latest product line of uPVC windows and doors.
The products will be displayed at TSSC’s stand at the Big 5 show this month.
TSSC, which is part of the Harwal Group of manufacturing companies, says that the product line is born out of the synergies of the group in terms of knowledge of plastics as well as building material fabrication.
The company has also announced plans for setting up new facilities in the region to enable the company to meet the growing local demand.
“The company is poised for a major expansion to become one of the largest and well-diversified manufacturing companies in the Middle East,” says a company spokesman. “Given the massive investment in real estate in Dubai and in all other emirates, the market demand for uPVC products is expected to be about $1 billion per annum, with more than half currently being imported at a very high cost.”
“The expansion will include a Dh18 million ($4.9 million) 11,000 sq m facility – to come up in the heart of Sharjah’s industrial belt – which will house one of the largest galvanising plants in the Middle East and will have a cable tray, trunking and accessory manufacturing unit and expansion of an existing facility which will double the current capacity for manufacturing upright chillers and freezers.
“In addition, the company is also in the process of setting up the most integrated and sophisticated production line for composite panels in Dubai Investments Park, within a 17,000 sq m facility, involving a total investment of about Dh22 million. This facility will have a production capacity of 10,000 sq m of composite panels per day – the highest in the region – and will cater to a major share of the Middle East market,” he says.
Both TSSC and the Harwal group have the advantage of a sophisticated and skilled in-house engineering team that can help design and build equipment to manufacture new products.
“Owing to the diverse divisions within the group, we are able to synergise our strengths for the better growth of our company,” he says. “The company is ably assisted by precision tools/equipment manufacturers owned by the group, which has allowed us to reduce the required investment in the new plants, thereby giving a cost advantage over the competitors.”
Sharjah-based TSSC is a well-diversified company with the following products being manufactured/assembled and supplied: cold store PUF panels and doors; cold stores (refrigeration); refrigerated trucks; composite panels; corrugated sheets; z-purlins; reach-in can-coolers and vertical freezers; PVC and metal garden sheds; prefabricated houses; portacabins; and telecommunications shelters, among others.
“Established in 1961, TSSC has been a pioneer in this field in the region. Production is subject to rigorous checks at all stages of the manufacturing process to ensure that the final quality is what the customer expects from the oldest and most reputed manufacturer in the region. Quality is constantly monitored and has resulted in TSSC cold stores being certified by Lloyds Register in London. The company also has in place the ISO 9000(2000) quality management system,” he adds.
“The combined strength of the TSSC team is sure to take it places as well as keep it at the top for many years to come,” he concludes.
